OOC: We had been married for seven years now, both 29, both successful in our own professions. No children, never wanting to take the time children required to properly raise.
We had been in love and together through most of our college life. We married shortly after graduation, once we both had jobs in our repectful professions.
We spent the first few years of married life, after college, enjoying ourselves, loving every minute we were together, working hard to ensure we spent plenty of time together.
As time went on, we both fell into our professions heavily. We were more than comfortable with each other, we knew each other like the back of our hand, or so we thought. Neither of us had been very experimental in our college life, choosing the comfortable way of life together. Sure we shared our secrets, our fantasies, to an extent.
Neither of us said anything to the other, but we both had fantasies that had yet to be fulfilled. We both wish we had experimented more during our college life. It was easier to be silent than to express our needs, even to someone we loved so much. We both knew we needed something more and needed it now and needed it in order to save our friendship. Our marriage might not last, but to us, our friendship was as or more important.
This is intended to be an exploration. A chance to explore those feelings we chose to ignore, in hopes that in the end we will be closer, yet knowing, it may separate us more. An exploration that involves us as well as those others that will help us explore those feelings we have ignored for so long.
