So, I just got a new wifi router--an airport express, replacing a decade old airport express. I am presuming that over the last 10 years, there are new wifi protocols, or somesuch, that mean that the router will have longer range, and/or greater speed. Anyone actually know to a greater certainty? (e.g. "The new 802.11n is ten times faster than 802.11a that was the standard in 2005)
I know nothing about any wifi tech specs or anything.
Except that Hedy Lamar was the inventor of signal-hopping, and was seven flavors of awesome.
