Experimental Plant

It was an inocent science experiment, create a plant that grows faster than any plant on earth, nobody had a clue what was created from the experiment, the plant down in the basement wasn't any normal plant anymore it had plans for the humans that came near it...

A somewhat shorter darker skinned lady around 25 with dreaded hair , and the oddest amber colored eyes by the name of Bobbie had been working at this plant area where the experiments where being preformed on mostly people and plants, sometimes but rarely animals. Today was Bobbies second year of being there, and in that time she had seen some very sick when experiments had gone wrong like last night's which had in fact left her sleeping in the lab , and also some very neat experiments like the a few weeks ago when she had been sent out to the streets to find the worst off women she could find and so had come back with a girl Bobbie would guess was barely 18. This girl was strung out, bone thin, and heavily pregnant, and to make worse had been beaten to a near bloody pulp. Anyway the long story short on this experiment was that the girl had been given a set of three shots then placed in a chamber of sorts left there for around 48 hours and when she was removed her entire body had been healed inside and out, a few days after that the girl gave birth to a beautiful baby boy.

There was also one other who often worked by her side at the lab itself a male who had been brought in shortly after she was, and every now and then she would catch him looking at her but nothing beyond that.

(figure out some kind of back story for a male character to play beside my female and we go from there. Since I'd like a story line first on this. LoL.)

William was always interested in science from a young age, thats why when he got the call to work at a top secret lab and put his PhD to use that he jumped on it. He didnt know what he was getting into, seeing some of the expriments that were preformed on living people and animals made him sick so he stuck to plants, geneticly altering them was my specialty. I found my projects overlapping often with another doctor Bobbie was her name, she was cute and I found myself working harder around her to try and impress, thats why when I saw the file come acrossed my desk for altering a fast growing plant that will reproduce quickly to create a organic wall around whatever it was protecting, I jumped on it! "that might just get me the recognition I deserve around here and maybe impress a few others as well"

Robbie also got the letter and jumped on the chance to move labs since she didn't want to leave this job but could no longer handle seeing people suffer more times then not.
So today she unlocked the door to the lab holding nothing but plants and within this part of the lab was another door in the back where as it turned out herself and Will would be working. Robbie was very glad for this for she knew Will specialized in plants, and not so much the running of the test unlike her and so thought working with him would be a lot of fun and beneficial to each.
When Will came into the lab finally he would find Robbie sitting at the desk looking at a small plant and a note by it which simply read, make me grow, and keep notes.
Will would also notice that unlike most days Robbie looked rather ill and this was from what she had witness last night and her final experiment on people she swore ever.

walking in I notice my new lab partner "hi Robbie I am Will but I'm sure you already knew that, so hear what we are supposed to do with this? Some military aplication I think, they said they found this plant and its a one of a kind I wonder what happened to the other doctor that was working this project?" I sit down and gather my notes about the plant that sat before us, "flora tenticleis what an odd name dont you agree?"

If Will was paying any attention he would notice Robbie entire body beginning to shake slightly but only for a few moments before she spoke.
I do not know what happened to her and yes that is an odd name.
Now the truth was Robbie knew full well what had happened but could not tell Will for it was against the rules of the company to talk about the experiments outside of that lab's area and with anyone other then someone you where working with if you even worked with anyone and the last lab person who had worked in the plant lab had broken that rule and so she ended up being what Robbie now realized was in fact the remains of last night experiment for her and they had named the plant by that lady's name so she would know first hand what would happen to her if she told anyone even her now lab partner Will.

I notice something wrong with Bobbie but decide must be some left over trauma from precious experiments and begin marking its genetic code I take a leafe and have it under a microscope "we need to see what makes this thing grow the best"

Bobbie would nod her head watching Will work then seeing he was having some troubles moves over to him.
Here try this.
Moves a nob just slightly and the picture comes better into view of the leaf.

"Ahh much better thank you" as it comes into veiw I look over the image carfully and start to take notes "ahhh I see I think we could modify the mitochondria in the plants cells to make it grow faster"

(saying next day)

The do what. And now I see why they put us together.
Robbie would chuckle softly looking at Will then.
Whatever you do just keep notes, and I will do the same.
Looks at the plant then.
Did you do something to it before I got here Will? It looks as if it has grown some over night.

"just the usual water and turned on the lights, I wasnt going to modify it geneticly for a couple more days to make sure that it would work." Looking at it I rush over for messurements and indeed it had grown 3inches taller just overnight it was now over a foot tall and about 9 inches in width, "what are all these little tendrills down near the base of the plant for? They surely arn't roots as they are growing up not down.

How am I to know? Robbie's answer came rather sharply much more then she intended at this point.
Quickly realizing how she sounded when answering.
I'm sorry Will maybe we can figure it out together. Let me see if I can't get a cut from it and we can place it under the microscope and see if it looks any different or anything.
Before doing that however I think we need to notes as we are doing this document everything as we go right now.
Robbie would pull out her note book and begin writing notes.
Day 3 of the plant, Day 1 and Day 2 no changes seen.
Day 3 plant has grown over night and appears to have some odd growth developing at it's base.
I am going to try and cut apiece off and exterminate it closer.

Robbie would then put down her pen and paper pick up a pair of scissors and go to cut a small piece of the odd roots at the bottom. As Robbie went to cut it if Will was paying attention he would notice the roots seeming to come alive along with Robbie.
Looking to Will, Robbie spoke.
Interesting but continued cutting not thinking anything of what was happening until it was too late.
One moment Robbie was fine the next the tendril like root at the bottom seemed to come to life growing very sharp barbs reaching out and slicing Robbie's hand and arm open and then pumping something inside. All of this happening in less then a minuet and no more then a minuet after that Will watched as Robbie fell to the ground and the plant nearly doubled in size.

Rushing to the first aid kit and quickly tending t your wounds " are you ok Robbie?" quickly also noting that the plant doubled in size so did the tendrils growing longer. "Look at it Robbie look at it grow, with what happened"

I don't feel so good Will,and my arm feels like it is on fire.
Robbie's face was pale and green at this point, and her arm was swollen.
I think I may need you to take care of things while I go see the doctor they have here for us to see if something does go wrong.
AS Robbie and Will spoke the plant continued to grow larger and almost seemed to be seeking something now but could not quite find it.

The tendrils growing with the plant seemed to be reaching for Robbie as she left, then went back down the plant now growing an additional foot tall and doubled in size wide starting to break its pot "I'll go get one of the experiment pods that we put humans in to examine them it should be bigger." I run off and get one bringing that into the room and strap on protective gloves and a eco suit and transplant the plant, it seeming to have no effect on me I continue my work.

A few hours later Robbie returned her face still green arm completly bandaged up. Within her hand was a small white bag. Looking to Will.
I think you may want to look at these.
Robbie then opens up the bags and removes a small pitery dish filled with what would look like tinny black dots and hands it to Will.
Those where taken from my arm.
Doc says I should go home and rest a few days. He has given me some very powerful drugs to take which should kill any further infaction I might have from what has happeend. Oh and check your email until you did so arleady new proto-call when working in this lab is you must now ware the special gloves and total cover suite including boots and mask. I was told first hand when the company owner found out what happeend to me.


With that Robbie would pick up her few things consitsing of her ID badge,her money clip becasue wallets where not allowed on site why no one understood but for everyone got paid no one argued , and her keys, looked at Will again.
I'll be back in a few days I hope. If anything changes more with the plant call me, and if anything changes with me I will call you.

I worked the next couple days and started the genetic mutation on the plant increasing in size more by the hour slowly but steadily, I even had to move labs so we have more room for it to grow. Wondering how Robbie was doing she is do to come back tomarrow I'm sure she will be impressed with how much its grown, the plant now about 6 ft tall and as wide as a car, the tendrils seem to be sprouting up more places than just at the base now and are a bit larger themselves

Robbie would return a day after she was suppose to have looking pale green and generally all over swollen.
I had to come back I didn't want too but something isn't right I need test ran on me. Can you do that Will? Run test on me.

"sure what are we looking for?" I say questioning what kind of tests we are going to run and what supplies we would need.

I want to know what is growing inside of my body now. I want to know what that plant has done to me. I want to know what if any reaction the plant now has for me. I want blood work and culture work, and well just about any other test you can think of Will.
Something is not right with me at all and I dare not return to the Doc here again or I maybe premently sent away and I do not want that.
As Robbie spoke she began to undo the bandages wrapped tightly about her arm as soon as she did the wound split open and this black oze began pouring out, and showed no signs of stopping until it looked as if enough had poured out of her body to fill a seed starter dish. The smell of it was simualr to wet dirt and mulch mixed together which made Robbie oddly smile.
Well at least it doesn't smell like the last time that happened which is why I was a day late coming back. Oh my god the smell it was like rotting corspes coming out in pockets.
By now Robbie had managed to rewrap her arm up and was looking to Will.
So what test do you want to run first?

"Well lets get some of that under a microscope as I take a small sample, then get some blood from you, we need to know if its infectious, are you sure you want to be near it again its gotten much larger this time, but now it has flowers but they seem to be a powerful pharamone." I explain in further detail as I take blood and start a variety of tests on the black ooze "the black stuff well it...well take a look, its almost a match for dirt but watch what happens when I expose it to the goo that the tendrils have started producing since you got back" I place a droplet on the ooze and it turns to water harmless water

(so the dirt changed to water when the oze from the plant was placed in it?)

Robbie just stood watching as Will preformed the test and took notes. At his question about getting around the plant again she nodded tentatively, and then spoke more or less under her breath.
I mean really what's the worst thing to happen it somehow attacks me again not like it can use me to produce offspring or anything.

(ok she is already producing some dirt at this point now I want her to be made to produce more dirt and nothing else right now. Use the plant however you wish to make this happen, but I want this in stages. at least 3 possibly even more before the plant even begins to try and impregnate her.)

(yes water but he missed that he always adds water to every test)

"well Bobbie after looking over everything it looks like it has done something geneticly that is creating soil in your body and if you want to see anything as far as the plant goes its over there but be carful. I requested these due to the possible violent nature of this plant." as I nod to some small flame throwers "also like I said the flowers are powerful pheromone I exposed a girl to it yesterday and she is in quarentine now because she tried to rip my clothes off"

Robbie would nod and then a very puzzled look would cross her face.
Wait what you experimented on a girl yesterday.
I thought this was a closed off experiment. Let me guess they conveniently found a stray hocker or drug addict no one would miss?
Sighs and under her breath,
and here I thought when I left my last post I'd be done dealing with human experiments. I guess not.
A soft shrug would be given then.
Anyway lets get this part over with my arm is starting to really hurt again but I don't want to be drugged up while this is going on.
With that Robbie would dawn the protective suite and grab a tourch following Will into the adjoining room where the plant and as it turned out the girl was too.

"we didnt have much place to keep her and had to keep her quiet dont wory her tube is soundproof, are you sure you want to go threw with this?" I note the tendrils starting to perk up the closer you get
