I was all geared up and excited to buy it until I read the reviews on amazon and learned RJ had been spending his writing time by continuing to not get the WOT moving again, and while at some point I will certainly want to read it, I guess by not buying it I am exercizing my own little form of protest in order to encourage him to get on with the story. I am a little concerned though, as aparently my protest is having very little effect. I'm sure when vacation hits and I make it back to the states I won't be able to walk by it in a book store somewhere and will probably rip through it sitting in the woods somewhere next to a campfire. Ahhhhh, Very pleasant thought indeed.

i rarely rarely ever see my relatives on my dads side. i've only seen the creepy guy twice. my dads side is seriously fucked up. my aunt is really sweet and nice, but everyone else creeps me out. they ahve too many bad expieriences and emotions hiding behind their eyes. i'm too sensitive to that kind of stuff which i usually like, it helps me relate to people better. but with these people it's too strong and too full of anger. just too much.

yes he takes too long between the books. and rumor has it that he is writing a few books that tie into the main books as well.

First off I would like to say I love your tatts and peircings. But, my problems is... My wife wants a few tattoos and she wants her tongue and nose peirced. Now I have 9 tatts myself and my nipples are done and in the past I have had my lips peirced and my tongue. But working with the public doesn't allow me to keep all my peicings. Its bad enough I still get bad looks because of the tattoos on my arms.

So when my wife ask to go get one. I tell her no not yet. Because I am unsure is she should get any. She almost 20 and we have a 9 month old baby boy and to me shes still pure(kinda ).

What should I do? Should I let her do wut ever her lil heart wants or stick with my guns??

it's her body...if she wants one...so be it.
just make sure to stress to her to make sure she gets something that is unique to her. Something that is personal and that will still hold meaning for her when she is 80 years old. You say you have a 9 month old boy...maybe she could get something that incorpartes him. maybe a flower or his birth sign..ya know? The best tats IMHO, are ones that the wearer comes up with the tattoo artist. whatever she does, make sure she doesn't just walk in and pick one out. and make sure that she checks around and looks for an artist that she likes their style.

These are all things I'm sure you are very aware of, being that you have tats yourself. Just make sure to stress these things over and over to her and make sure that it is unique and has TONS of meaning for her...not just some fun or cool looking tat that she likes for that moment. But ultimately, it IS her body..and if she wants one, she should be able to get one.

I wanted tats since I was about 12, but I didn't get my first one till I was like 29. I just really wanted to make sure (and it just took me that long to finally get one )

I wish all the best to her...hope that if she does decide to go ahead and get one, it is one that she will cherrish and love for all her life. Best of luck to both of you

umm, first of all why do you think have the right to really deprive her of that. second nose piercings are everywhere. it's not like a tattoo of a naked woman or rotting skull on her arm, or antyhign like that. i say if it is somethign that she is seriously wanting and is going into with a clear head then let her go for it. the great thing about a piercing is that you can take it out and most times, just get retainer jewelry when you need it. tattoos are obviously permanent and can be taboo and seem innapropriate to some people, but if she is seriously thinking about it, she's already taking that into consideration. just talk to her and let her do what she wants with her body. if she knows the possible consequences she's not going into it blind. as for her future goes, the world is getting more and more open to body adornment. it's not such a big deal or taboo anymore. don't stress about it.
