Just heard that an Israeli tank has fired a shell at the home of a Palestinian Security Chief. The Israel's comment "We didn't mean to harm him". Jeez...

But PP that is the truth

:p

The Israeli's LIVE Sun Tsu's admonition "Never hurt your enemy a little". So I would say that the statement if incomplete is completely true.

Oh I see...

...it's like shooting at an unarmed, terrified, 12 year old boy being shielded by his father for half an hour before killing him with the excuse "we didn't see him there".

go do it for yourself. don't let everyone carry you. go fight your own battles instead of finding fault with someone else. join up or shut up

But slightly better than beating to death a couple of 14 year olds or blowing yourself up amongst civilians in a shopping mall or at a bus stop.

You should look up the definition of collateral damage and compare it to the definition of terrorism.

Expertise...

...Collateral damage is still a fairly new phrase for me emenating (I think) from Desert Storm and meaning (I think) killing by mistake but I can't see how blowing up a shopping mall by a suicide bomber can be regarded as a mistake or the killing of two 14 year olds and one 12 year old can be regarded as acting against terrorism.

The Israelis seem intent on pushing the situation into war - I just wish they'd say so.

Your confusing your casulties big fella'.

Whereas the casulties inflicted upon the Palestinians have been combatants( terrorists, military/security forces) or collateral in nature. This makes the casulties (civilian) no less tragic but very different than the cold blooded deliberate murder of civilians ie. the fourteen year olds and suicide bombing victims.

The death of the liitle boy you mentioned is indeed tragic as are the deaths of the other children. You'll have to excuse me if I don't sympathize with their parents for sending/taking them out in to that situation.

PS. The phrase is much older. More Viet Nam era

Thanks Expertise...

...proves that I shouldn't comment on a radio news flash whilst I'm posting about something completely different!
