Ex-wife’s new husband is a nerd

Guy had an ugly break up with his wife. To his shock, she got remarried not even a few months after the divorce. Even more shocking, dude couldn’t be more different than him. Guy is a hard drinking extrovert, new hubbie is a total nerd. Hubbie’s not ugly but he’s not a 10, he makes a decent wage but not an amazing one, so what gives?

Guy eventually confronts wife and she says she is happy with her new husband because she can trust him. Unsatisfied, he tries to confront new hubbie and things either backfire or he finds some revelations that shock him.

Some ideas:

1. New hubbie is very trustworthy and is great at communication. Both are great things as wife has been wanting to explore a BDSM lifestyle and new hubbie is a perfect fit. In fact, despite hubbie’s boring appearance they are quite active in the kink community.

2. Ex husband tries to send his sister over to prime the pump and get some info. She comes back saying new husband is a very good guy and refuses to elaborate…turns out new hubbie is very aware of the attraction between his wife and her ex-sister-in-law and he convinced them to give it a try.

3. Ex follows them to a nerdy gathering and finds things get more than a little hot and heavy than expected (hubbie plows wife at a renfaire, fingers her at a movie screening, LARP session, etc)

I love the idea of the more traditionally masculine dude not understanding what's so attractive about the new guy, but genuinely wanting to figure it out!

Especially if you avoid some of the more obvious tropes like the nerdy guy having a giant cock or something... He's just genuinely kind, curious, supportive, kink-friendly, enthusiastic about his hobbies, all things that are super hot

Maybe trad dude learns to rediscover his own personality that he had suppressed because of excessive fear over his own masculinity? It's okay for him to enjoy a fruity cocktail instead of beer! Like maybe he signs up for new guy’s campaign with the intent of embarrassing and when it’s just him and the new guy, he thinks it’s his attempt to have a confrontation, only to find out it’s a session zero and he meets all his players one on one for that session.

But the conversation does turn towards his ex and new guy not only points out how he didn’t really know his wife but how he doesn’t really know himself.

Like maybe wife got frustrated that he always wanted her at the house for game day with his friends when she wanted to do something else…but new guy then realizes he doesn’t even like football (“so wait, you had big party every week, and then you just spent it on your phone cause you got bored?” “Well yeah, but it’s the game. You gotta watch the game.”)

Maybe he even winds up finding a new romance with someone from the campaign which he decides to try out.

It could either end as a fairly vanilla erotic couplings story, or it could get a little freaky as trad dude opens himself up to a variety of new experiences, realizing that none of his secret desires make him any less of a man!
