The art of tuning Siren out.
I've discovered that if you hear a noise for long enough you just "tune it out". Well i've mastered this art with my wife. She'll start rambling on about something (usually the lit board) and i'll pay just enough attention to say uh-huh...and yes dear at the appropriate times.

Anyway this is a very usefull ability I think all husbands eventually develop. Now if wives could just learn to tune out burps and farts we'd be set!

Out here in the mellow midwest it is required for husbands to take that class. The class also teaches us why we are always wrong, how to figure out what your wife means when she says 'I don't care honey. do whatever you want', etc.etc....Researchers at 3 major universities have discovered that Men and women can more successfully co-exist when the men do attend the class.
