President Trump is vile, often a bully, and unsophisticated in many ways.

Fortunately, most of his policies benefit the US as a country. The exact opposite of the Far Left (i.e. Democrats) who seek to disenfranchise voters, eliminate the borders, install socialism/communism, and undermine economic growth.

Plus, the vile man does not use the FBI and CIA to spy on citizens, journalists, political opponents, and international allies. That's the Far Left. Sick fucks.

The right-wing media is heavily invested in attacking the poor, labor unions, feminists, civil rights leaders, the African-Americans and other dark-skinned people. As long as Trump's evil was directed at those groups, the right-wing media thought that was just peachy!

But when Trump attacks a wealthy, white, male Republican, they're not gonna stand for that!

I remember this. It was about ten years ago. And as you say, it was priceless.

Ann brought up the Klan, which was initially created after the South lost the Civil War, by those opposed to President Grant’s policies. At this point in America’s history, the people who freed the slaves and who were doing things that helped the black man were Republicans. The people who were racists and who opposed President Lincoln and President Grant were Democrats. The people who formed the Klan were undoubtedly all Democrats.

Then George Stephanopoulos pointed out the fact that things changed after President Grant’s time. The Klan may have been all Democrats back in the 1870's, but the Klan changed.

“Not to Republican,” Ann comically replied, “It was never Republican.”

This was a sad and pathetic lie on Ann’s part. Ann may not want to admit it, however the KKK very obviously DID change to Republican. A quick look at the attitudes and actions of the Republican Party during my lifetime, make it obvious that their attitudes and actions are blatantly similar to the attitudes and actions of the KKK themselves.

For example, the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Voting Rights Act of 1965 act were pushed through congress by a Democratic president. Many Republicans (including Barry Goldwater, Ron Paul, Ronald Reagan, and George Herbert Walker Bush) opposed the legislation that ended the Jim Crow laws. Many Republicans thought that laws that prevented black people from voting should remain in place forever. Many Republicans thought that laws that segregated black Americans from white Americans should remain in place forever.

And when Lyndon Baines Johnson succeeded in banishing the Jim Crow laws, many of the Dixiecrats (Southern Democrats who believed in the Jim Crow laws) left the Democratic Party and joined the Republican Party.

Ann Coulter very childishly and deliberately ignored those pesky historical facts.

Ann Coulter also very childishly ignored Richard Nixon's Southern Strategy, which was basically to exploit the fears of White Racists in the South to win their votes.

Ann Coulter ignored the fact that Jerry Falwell repeatedly denounced civil rights leaders. And in 1967 when Falwell set up his own school, it was racially segregated because Falwell didn't believe that black Americans and white Americans should be forced to associate with each other.

Ann Coulter glossed over the fact that Ronald Reagan gave a speech in Mississippi in 1980 where he talked about "state’s rights" and how the federal government should stop telling the states what to do and how the Voting Rights Act of 1965 was "humiliating to the South."

Ann Coulter also ignored the fact that; despite a growing international movement to topple the racist apartheid system in South Africa in the 1980's; President Ronald Reagan maintained a close alliance with a South African government that was showing no signs of serious reform. And the Reagan administration demonized opponents of apartheid, most notably the African National Congress, as dangerous and pro-communist. Reagan even vetoed a bill to impose sanctions on South Africa, only to be overruled by Democratic Opposition in Congress.

Also, there was Ronald Reagan with his attempts to give Bob Jones University a tax-exempt status despite that university's policy of racial discrimination.

And speaking of Bob Jones University, I would like to point out the fact that Bob Jones University was founded by a Klansman. Yes, Bob Jones was a member of the Klan. He was also a Republican.

If the Klan never went Republican, why was Republican Bob Jones a member of the Klan?

If the Klan never went Republican, why was Republican sheriff E.E. Addition of Androscoggin County a member of the Klan?

If the Klan never went Republican, why was Republican Owen Brewster (former governor of Maine, Former member of the U.S. House of Representatives and former U.S. Senator) also a member of the Klan?

If the Klan never went Republican, why did Klansman Shaun Winkler run for the office of Bonner County sheriff as a Republican? Why didn’t he run as a Democrat?

If the Klan never went Republican, why was Republican David Duke (former member of the Louisiana House of Representatives) a member of the Klan?

And why did Klansman and White Supremacist David Duke praise Republican Donald Trump and endorse Trump as “the best of the lot.”?

Have you ever heard a Klansman ever praise Hillary Clinton? Or Elijah Cummings? Or Maxine Waters? Or Elizabeth Warren? Or Kamala Harris? NO!! It’s just Republicans like Donald Trump who gets the praise!! White Supremacists and Klansmen HATE Democrats!!
