Evaluating women by the BDSM (B/D D/s S/M) Triangle and the SPIB (S/P P/I B/B) triangle.

B/D (B&D) = Bondage and Discipline, D/S (D&S) = Domination and subMission, S/M (S&M) = Sadism and Masochism

S/P = sex and passion P/I=Personality/intelligence B/B=beauty/body.

The B/D D/s S/M is only a potential triangle. Not all subs have all 3 lines. Certainly not all nillas do. But the vast majority of women will have at least one line.

The scale is 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest or best. It’s easier to visualize on the SPIB triangle. A beautiful woman with a great personality and fucking great in the sack would form an Isosceles triangle of 5 units, or to simplify, 5 inches. And you can have fractional units. 4.8 - 4.7 - 3.3

A sub married to a nilla man might have a short S/M line due to concerns about marks. But she would have a complete triangle. KillerMuffin might just have a B/D line, could be short or long, we don’t really know.

What shape is your triangle, and what shapes are you looking for? Would this model work on men as well, or would a women rename some of the lines?

If you met a 5-5-5 on the SPIB scale would you compromise on the BDSM end?

As a Dom, can you play with any sub who has a large bdsm triangle and overlook a small spib triangle?

So what would your answer be?

I can, and have, but it's something I no longer pursue. If an experienced sub contacts me, and I feel like she's emotionally grounded, I will play.

Okay, my ASCII kinda sucks...

My BDSM triangle -------->......./\
.........................................../..\
...........................................---

(equal sides B&D and D/s with a shorter S/M side.)

My SPIB triangle --------->......./\
........................................../....\
........................................./......\
.........................................------

(equal sides S/P, P/I and B/B - if I do say so myself.) :D

If I understand this correctly, I am an isosceles triangle.

Tis things like this that makes me mad.

So if you are not beautiful, how does one advertise that you are great in the sack?

If you are not beautiful, how do you get someone to get to know your personality?

If you are not beautiful, how do you get the attention needed to go beyond that first requirement of beauty?

If you are not beautiful, then your SPIB triangle will be lopsided and the truth is, the rest doesnt matter.

Basically this question asks, in my opinion, if the sub was ugly (the rest matters not), would you ignore that because the sub's BDSM Triangle matches what you want?

Or do you take the bombshell over there that is willing do hardly no kink, but hey that person is beautiful right?

According to this, I am not a triangle that would be wanted.

Beauty is just one component of the second triangle. It's not required to attract me to another person. But it is a factor, not only in sexuality, but in many aspects of our lives. I didn't give it any more weight than personality or passion.

The bombshell you mention might be a 5 in looks, but 1.5 in the other two.

Her total score would be based on the area of a triangle. A=1/2 h * b

Maybe I totally misunderstand the whole thing. After all it is asking about submissive women and I am a submissive man. However, my question lies in that if you are a "perfect" 5 for all 3 sides does that mean that you are complete? I have a firm belief that once one is complete or "perfect" there is nothing more for them to achieve. Hence being perfect on this triangle would be a bad thing. That is just my opinion. The beauty is similiar to a thread I was responding to yesterday about Dominants who are shallow and only look for looks and beauty. Can wrap ugly bricks and pretty paper. Then again I did say that maybe I missed the whole point.

I guess men are more guilty of that than women. But there are plenty of women online, both subs & nillas, whose first or second question is "What do you look like?" or "Send me a pic"

Ask Lance about the 100 emails he got overnight when he put a pretty boy pic in his personal ad.

I have his Dom look pic. I think I'm gonna change to that.

I like cats. They are all doms in their own way.

Heh... okay, no more hijacking. I gotta lay down before I fall down.

So lovetoread, what is beauty? It's what you believe it is, either in regard to yourself or others. I have no doubt that I am, both inside and out. I also have no doubt you are.

Hey lovetoread! You can console yourself with the fact that the 5" x 1.5" x 1.5" bombshell that WD is describing can't even exist as a triangle in reality. Her two legs would never meet.

*snicker*

But anyway, according to this definition, WD, it seems like a person would have to have at least two good sides to be whole. Would you say that this applies in real life?

B/D (B&D) = Bondage and Discipline, D/S (D&S) = Domination and subMission, S/M (S&M) = Sadism and Masochism

S/P = sex and passion P/I=Personality/intelligence B/B=beauty/body.

The last one noted, B/B=beauty/body, is of the least importance to me when seeking a BDSM partner. It's seeming importance lowered substantially when I excluded "vanilla" relationship possibilities, even gender became less of an issue. This is not to say, hey, congratulations for me, I'm above the shallowness of looks... because it just kind of happened on it's own, without a conscious decision. Looking through a BDSM lense simply changed my perspective. I was approaching from a different direction.

By definition, you would have to have two good sides to have a high score. I'm not sure what you mean by wholeness. There are some people who were born to be one dimensional I think.

This isn't something I've put into practice or even thought about till I woke up with it in my head this morning. And all these lines are dynamic. Passion can fade; looks change. People are capable of great growth, or they can regress.

Maybe the shifting of the lines is a reason for so much divorce.

lol, that was funny. ;)

I would hope that , at least, on the S/P, P/I, B/B triangle , we would all score high in the eyes of our SO.

Frankly, this triangle has more bearing for me than the other as the other is constantly changing and changable.

Yes, I would prefer to be with someone who is heavily interested in and perhaps, experienced in the D/s and B/D areas of the BDSM triangle.

In any event, I would exchange that for someone who is strong in personality and intelligence, that being the essential element of any relationship I build or hope to build.

Hmm so one good leg ought to do it , for me! ;)

That just sounds like way too much math.

And I swear in the preview that thing looked much better.... oh well, that's what I get for posting before I've had my coffee.

I thought you did pretty good. You'd have to be Bill Gates to get a triangle to line up correctly.
