Good morning Lauren, I trust you have a lovely day in store. I see there is no communicating with you, on any level, it seems, although I did think to mention some Astronomer way back when who 'individually' shook up the Catholic world, Galileo perhaps or Tycho Brahe or Kepler, one of whom manufactured his own telescope and made discoveries with his own eyes, and used his own individual mind to determine some of the laws of physics that are still with us yet today.
I should also tell you that each was surrounded by other individuals, I never postulated that anyone exists in a vacuum, other individuals who each pulled on their pants or panties by their own free choice and will and individual decision and even sometimes in private.
You remind me of the high schools days where, 'proving one's own existence', was presented as a mystery until one actually looked in a mirror.

Reading the biographies of these, 'giants' upon whose shoulders we stand, seldom do I discover the motive of 'advancing mankind', to be even a remote consideration.
They were possessed of an ego, a self, self esteem, that drove them as it does many men, to answer questions simply because they exist and because they, individually, desire to know. It is part of the natural make-up of the individual that you simply neither understand nor appreciate.
Your hatred of the 'profit motive' betrays you, as even you must exchange your labor in order to eat and survive. The entire philosophy of sacrifice, called socialism or altruism, reeks of decadency and failure.
Observe your own self righteousness and don't be startled to discover you express the same zealotry as Christians and Muslims do as they cling to their faiths.
When did you decide abandon reason and rationality and individual values and take up the faith? Was it a conscious decision or did you just slip into the greyness of oppression slowly?

Or look at this thread, where you start by proclaiming the victory of the Right, then attack its manifesto for being leftist, and then change subject altogether, in order to mask your own ineptitude.

Lauren...you appear to be unable to embrace the concept of abstractions, a female hormone deficiency I surmise, in that the purpose of listing a few of the great individual minds of history was to demonstrate on a larger, conceptual level the essential individuality that functions in a creative manner.
It think it was Oggbashan, from merry ole England, who noted that the European 'Right', in general, is politically to the 'left' of the American Left Wing.
Your 'belief'in the collective, as I pointed out before, equals religious fanaticism and is just as dangerous as you advocate the destruction of the individual self for your precious collective.
By definition, Socialism will inevitably fail as it consumes or destroys the creativity of the best and the brightest for the benefit of the non producing worst in society.
When the parasites have consumed all that has been produced, as JBJ said, you will begin consuming each other, in less polite rhetoric one might refer to that as intellectual cannibalism.

Lauren Hynde...By plagiarizing the rationale of my arguments, basically stealing the thoughts, you have inadvertently illustrated how logic can fail with a faulty premise.
My premise is valid and self evident, that man exists as an individual and upon that primise, the logic and rationality and reason function to clarify the basic premise.
In your case, along with the obscenity and name calling, you display the falsity of your premise that man exists only as a member of society and is thus defined.
Aside from being wrong, you are rude and callous.
