Well this would have been the case if that asshat didn't bitch slap that hooker in New York as the EU was planning on replacing the dollar with the Euro for the worlds currency.

Thankfully, the EU collapsed under all their entitlements and their economy will take decades to improve. The question here is this, will the EU fall apart?

So, if the Euro would have become the worlds currency imagine what would have happened. I'm guessing a gallon of gasoline would have risen to $10.

Thoughts?

A different way

It doesn't work quite like that Jen. The World Currency actually chooses itself by being the dominant currency meaning that nations complete their transaction in random currencies and the dollar is used as the standard for both currencies because it's stable.

Let's suppose that a Dutch firm sells a shipload of condoms and dildos to a Cambodiam firm.(It's more likely to be in the other direction come to think of though. The 2 countries have different currencies, the guilder is the currency of the Dutch and the riel is the currency of Cambodia and neither country has a store of the other's currency, therefore a problem. We now convert the riel to the dollar as well as the guilder to the dollar and complete the transaction in theoretical dollars. Fait accompli

The Pound and the EU aren't stable enough to do this, no matter what the Brits or Europeans say so at this time the dollar is the standard ... for now. After Obama? ... the deluge.

That's approximately, if crudely, how it works.
