..........To make homosexuals loook better then heterosexuals. Why because she no she cant be honest and make that statement to be true. Why would they put a person in charge who cant even be honest? Let me see if I can help you out on some unanswered questions that seem to have you troubled. 1st I have posted this thread here because it is where I believe homosexuals are given there own board. I am curious about why homosexuals account for 40 of all molestations in the US. What better place to ask than on a board that caters to homosexuals. I mean to ask the same questions to a heterosexual based board. I dont think I would be asking the right people.

I do agree with Etoile's comment "It's true that a number of adults who work in schools molest the children there, but it's more often heterosexual abuse than homosexual"
so we are back to how can someone say that 40% of homosexual's are child molestors.

Pedophilia is about having a sexual attraction to children. The gender of the child is generally unimportant to the pedophile. Pre-adolescent boys are androgynous, and just as likely to be a target as girls. When you add the label of homosexual to the act you ignore the basic motivation of the pedophile.
You can site all the books and articles you want and all the research studies, but you have to get away from the homosexual labeling of pedophilia. It doesn't fit the profile.
By the way, I was the successful target of a pedophile. I'm somewhat bisexual, and have had childhood and adult consensual same-sex experiences. Does the fact that I'm bisexual have anything to do with my being a target? I think not.
The real fact is that men in general tend to commit sex crimes far more frequently than women. Looking at the California statistics on teenage prgnancy, teen girls are far more likely to get pregnant by an adult, rather than another teen. This has caused the state of California to crack down on age of consent related violations.

molestation must occur for it to become a number. When It occurs a police report, or an investigation must take place. All the information is then put into a data base where one can look over all the cases of molestation. Which by the way becomes open to the public.
You can find this information at you local library. Or you might even get it online for a fee. Either way the data based is known as National Incidence Based Reporting System (NIBRS), Sexual Assault of Young Children as Reported to Law Enforcement from the victims. So you cant say it to be bias when in fact it is coming from the victims. In the form of a police report. Sure maybe one or two but not All 40 % could be fabricated. And once again an investigation has to be done to find out if there is any validatity to the claims.
I might add that the numbers cannot be really accurate seeming how boys are much less likely to report an incident to say over girls. But that could be only opinion. I heard that from somewhere and would seem to make sense.

In 1978 psychologist Nicholas Groth screened 175 men who had been convicted in Massachusetts of sexual molestation of children and referred by a court for psychological evaluation. Those statistics are just wrong. I cannot comment on the percentage of child molestors specifically, but go to school at Indiana University which is the home of the Kinsey institute and I made a point of doing reasearch in my underclassman years on the work Kinsey did on homosexuality, and we make us significantly more than 1-2 percent of the population. If you include people who are actively bisexual you get well over 10 percent of the population. The lowest number I have ever seen from a reputable source was 8%. Now while 40% by 10% would still be awfully skewed the fact that the one number was incorrect puts the second number into doubt. I would find a better source.

Just to be clear on this issue, the fact that a pedophile chooses a child of the same sex or of the opposite sex has nothing to do with their primary motivation, and does not really have bearing on their adult sexual orientation. To label an act homosexual and use that as a statistic to determine the sexual orientation of the pedophile does not hold up under scrutiny. People who read the data that way and try to use it to generate statistics don't understand the nature of the pedophile.
With that said, if the adult in question is attracted to young teens that are through puberty, it's a different story. That is not pedophilia. This becomes the child molester issue. An adult that uses their authority to persuade a youth to have sex is exercising extremely poor judgment and is not acting in the best interest of the youth. For example, a 23 year old school janitor having the hots for a 14 year old girl is not the same as a priest who coerces 10 year old boys into letting him play with them. The priest is no more likely to be homosexual or bisexual than anyone else, though the act is.
The cases that get reported are usually people that the child knows from outside the home. I suspect, but can't prove that cases of parents or relatives molesting children go widely unreported. My wife's childhood experiences with her father is a case in point.

Pedophilia is about having a sexual attraction to children. The gender of the child is generally unimportant to the pedophile. Pre-adolescent boys are androgynous, and just as likely to be a target as girls. When you add the label of homosexual to the act you ignore the basic motivation of the pedophile.
You can site all the books and articles you want and all the research studies, but you have to get away from the homosexual labeling of pedophilia. It doesn't fit the profile.
By the way, I was the successful target of a pedophile. I'm somewhat bisexual, and have had childhood and adult consensual same-sex experiences. Does the fact that I'm bisexual have anything to do with my being a target? I think not.
The real fact is that men in general tend to commit sex crimes far more frequently than women. Looking at the California statistics on teenage prgnancy, teen girls are far more likely to get pregnant by an adult, rather than another teen. This has caused the state of California to crack down on age of consent related violations.

molestation must occur for it to become a number. When It occurs a police report, or an investigation must take place. All the information is then put into a data base where one can look over all the cases of molestation. Which by the way becomes open to the public.
You can find this information at you local library. Or you might even get it online for a fee. Either way the data based is known as National Incidence Based Reporting System (NIBRS), Sexual Assault of Young Children as Reported to Law Enforcement from the victims. So you cant say it to be bias when in fact it is coming from the victims. In the form of a police report. Sure maybe one or two but not All 40 % could be fabricated. And once again an investigation has to be done to find out if there is any validatity to the claims.
I might add that the numbers cannot be really accurate seeming how boys are much less likely to report an incident to say over girls. But that could be only opinion. I heard that from somewhere and would seem to make sense.

In 1978 psychologist Nicholas Groth screened 175 men who had been convicted in Massachusetts of sexual molestation of children and referred by a court for psychological evaluation. Those statistics are just wrong. I cannot comment on the percentage of child molestors specifically, but go to school at Indiana University which is the home of the Kinsey institute and I made a point of doing reasearch in my underclassman years on the work Kinsey did on homosexuality, and we make us significantly more than 1-2 percent of the population. If you include people who are actively bisexual you get well over 10 percent of the population. The lowest number I have ever seen from a reputable source was 8%. Now while 40% by 10% would still be awfully skewed the fact that the one number was incorrect puts the second number into doubt. I would find a better source.

Just to be clear on this issue, the fact that a pedophile chooses a child of the same sex or of the opposite sex has nothing to do with their primary motivation, and does not really have bearing on their adult sexual orientation. To label an act homosexual and use that as a statistic to determine the sexual orientation of the pedophile does not hold up under scrutiny. People who read the data that way and try to use it to generate statistics don't understand the nature of the pedophile.
With that said, if the adult in question is attracted to young teens that are through puberty, it's a different story. That is not pedophilia. This becomes the child molester issue. An adult that uses their authority to persuade a youth to have sex is exercising extremely poor judgment and is not acting in the best interest of the youth. For example, a 23 year old school janitor having the hots for a 14 year old girl is not the same as a priest who coerces 10 year old boys into letting him play with them. The priest is no more likely to be homosexual or bisexual than anyone else, though the act is.
The cases that get reported are usually people that the child knows from outside the home. I suspect, but can't prove that cases of parents or relatives molesting children go widely unreported. My wife's childhood experiences with her father is a case in point.
And your original post, and this subsequent one, makes heterosexuals look SOOOO good in comparison.
