He hated what he was more than he could say and wished more than anything, more than he could put into words and wished that he could be killed, that he would die but he knew that was wrong, that he would not be allowed to. Such was the punishment for the crime that he had committed that he knew he would never be allowed to die and suffer years of torment. The life that he had was pure hell for him and that in itself was a joke as he knew how close that was to the truth.

His name was once Jason Barton but that was his name when he had been mortal and that had been lost long ago. He had once been an ordinary human with ordinary problems but that was all now stripped away. In the space of a mere few seconds, with one large mistake he had destroyed many lives, lived he wish he could forget but knew he never would. His death had taken him to a place he never wanted to know existed but found himself in. His life while there had been a torturous existence where he had been ripped apart again and again only to be brought back together. He wanted nothing more than to be killed, for his very existence to end but it never happened as much as he wanted it to.

It was then, when he was at his most desperate - when he was giving up the most and at his weakest that he was rescued but an amazing, beautiful voice. He was pulled from that place before he realized it and told that he was going back to a mortal existence as he was still innocent and what had happened had been a mistake in a life of purity. He was so happy to be brought back to any normal life that he did not realize that something was with him, within him until one day it came over him and a voice in his head told him that what he had done had not been a mistake and he was with him to prove that point.

Before he knew what was happening or could stop himself it came over him and he began to destroy people in a way that he did not want to believe or even think existed. He tore people apart even as he scremed out but found that he could not stop himself. As soon as it was over he heard the same voice that had saved him but this time it was not beautiful but very angry.

"What have you done? I brought you back onto the world because I thought that you were innocent. I can now see that I was very wrong. Now I must punish you and tell you that you will live until you can redeem what you have done. You cannot die, you will never die no matter what happens to you until the day that you redeem yourself."

He could not defend himself before the voice was gone.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That had been several centuries ago and every time he had tried to redeem himself he had failed as his constant companion had done something to stop it. All that he wanted was to rid himself of it, to save his soul so to speak but he knew just how hard that would be. He had tried to tell it to leave him alone but it never would and had done one thing far worse to him, given him some of its power...

He moved through the street now as a ghost, trying hard to remain inconspicuous but still trying to help people and everywhere he looked he saw people in trouble.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As he walked down the street he pulled his coat tight around him and looked at all the humans moving around him, hearing their inner most thoughts as they did. He was shocked and scared when he heard them, even after the years that he could because he wondered just how he could save even one of them when he was starting to feel as though they were not even worth saving. They were either petty, weak, hateful or so close to evil that he wanted nothing more than to walk away from them and forget about trying to redeem himself. As he did though a thought came to him and he stopped for a second,
Are you doing this?
I am doing nothing.... You are just beginning to see what is in the hearts and minds of every mortal. I cannot help it if you do not like what you see....
But how do I know... given what you are that you are just showing me what you think I should see to suit your means?
There came a silent laugh in his head, You don't

It was then that he heard the sound of the woman in trouble and moved quickly, far faster to her than any human would be able to follow but before he could get near her to save her something grabbed him and stopped him seconds before the car came out of nowhere and struck her, sending her flying through the air.

As the scream of an onlooker echoed in his ear he let out a silent scream himself that was echoed by the same laugh.

IC: I moved quietly in a back ally. My existence was a joke, I had experienced the greatest feeling any demon ever had. It is in finding love and acting upon it that for once in my existence I was more then merely content, and those same actions that alienated me from my allies. Now I am stuck here, unable to associate with either army.

If I could simply stop existing I would, my one joy is in a place I can never reach, and I can not return to the content existence I once had, my position of power gone forever. Yes none existence would be a paradise for me, but after my death all that I will receive is the same as any other tenant of hell, a torture of mind, body, and soul. My life here is the best option as unpleasant as it may be.

I tightened the belt at my waste. My current form, was of 23 year old, with a long black pony tail that reached the curves of my behind. My ass was full and round, the hair was meant to draw attention to it, since the rest of my current form wasn't the most flattering. I had a fairly small A cup, and while this body was thin, the curves of the waist were fairly straight. My goal now was to blend in, all the same I refused to take an entirely unattractive form as a matter of principle, and my back side was my keep sake for now.

I heard a scream, and brakes screech. Turning out of the alley I could see that the woman was about to be hit by a car. A man bolted in and then was suddenly held back. Interesting not to many humans can move that fast.

He turned and looked at the person who stood there and watched him, feeling something very familiar with the woman. He knew that she could see him and wondered how that was possible, what there was about her that allowed her to see him. He looked at her carefully; wondering if he should talk to her, wondering if he should go to her but still something screamed at him not to and he knew what that was. His other half, his visitor told him not to go and it was stopping him from going anywhere near her.

He tried to moved towards her but as much as he did his other half held him back, pulling him the other way and the man knew why. There was something out there that was calling to it, there was something or someone in pain out there. It wanted nothing more than to go there and see what it could do to help destroy the person.

The man screamed out... he needed to find something to help him find some peace and he hoped that the person in front of him could be that person.

IC: What the hell is he staring at me for? I know I have a great ass but all the same he isn't looking there he's staring at my face, and I am pretty plain there, so why the hell is he looking at me?

"Would you mind not starting?"

Dede wandered the streets. She puffed on her cigcarette as she stopped to pass one on to an old man sitting next to a trash can.

"Here you go George, sorry I can't give you more, I'm almost out myself."

"Thank you Dede, you're always so thoughtful."

She continued avaiding the hustle and bustle of the main street. There was so much and too much confusion there. She had always liked the serenity of the back alleys.

Suddenly a scream and the sound of screeching tires caught her attention.

She hurried on to find out what had happened. As she turned the corner she saw them. A black haze hung over them.

"Demons"she wispered out loud.

Evere since that day her parents were murdered she had seen that haze hanging around people who had anything to do with hell.

He looked at her and knew that she was worried about what he wanted with her, even if she could feel what was within him. He wanted to get closer to her, reach out and touch her and hope that she might be able to help her but he did not know if anyone else could.

"I can feel what is within you. You are like me and all that I want to know is if you can help me. I hope that you can but it is hard to help me. I have been like this, had this within me for so long that I do not know anything else... is there any way that you can help me?"

IC: I took a step back. This guy wasn't a demon, if he was I would be dead and back in hell by now. "I don't know what you are rambleing about." I took another step back, I could feel an evil with in him, but it was to weak to be a demon even if it was stronger then any human.

"Are you drunk or something?"
