Essentials in a traveling Toy Bag?

I tend to over pack. I keep most of my toys in an archery case that is about 5' x 3' x 1'. I am a little concerned with all the terror alerts that walking around a hotel carrying an archery case isn't very wise.

The reason I got the archery case was to hold spreader bars. But now I have 3' bars that expand to 6' and look harmless to nilla eyes.

I do like having two floggers. And the riding crop is a must. Restraints and rope. A couple of vibrating type toys would be enough, along with one or two extreme corporal toys. And a few connectors and panic snaps. A candle and a few sensation type toys might be nice.

I don't carry a first aid kit, and have never needed one. I suppose it would be better to be prepared than not.

I am down to the essentials these days...

I am travelling so much lately, most of it air travel, that I am basically down to the "essentials" of a "non-suspicious, non-voluminous instant BDSM-kit" which contains...

*drum roll*

... several pairs of pantyhose.

Those are just perfect for everything...

they make blindfolds, they make nice gags, can be used as "ropes" (with the "feet" tied to hands and the "body-part" a big hard knot to go over (to be closed) bathroom doors for a kind of vertical bondage instead of horizontal on the bed which can be done even in the typical leg-less hotel bed by running them under the matress and tie wrists to the "feet" poking out left and right).

They make nice "humiliation devices" for the male sub meeting me for a first dinner out and being sent to the bathroom to put them on and return his undies into my hand instead, they make nice accessoirs in "sensation play" if put wet into the minibar freezer before the night starts ... oh, there is so much versatility in them ... and they are never picked up by airport security, no awkward questions even should your luggage be opened with your fellow business travelers around, and no worries should you ever have been a bit negligent with "cleaning up" afterwards and room service comes in ....

All else I usually take from there... I always have my hair brush for additional "spanking fun", there will be cloth hangers in the hotel, and you never know what other interesting thigs you might find...

Ohh, and if I remember I carry two cloth pegs for errrmmm ... well ... I guess you can figure that bit out *g*

I guess I would have a few additional items if I went to a real "play event", but truth to be told, the adavantage of hassle-free luggageless travel weighs up A LOT and if something specific is planned on the other end of the journey I usually will find a well stocked toy box there, and it is fun to have a few new things to play with from time to time anyway.

I guess I am just spoiled in that respect,
Hecate

*bump*

there must be more travellers among us - after allw e even had a poll about our flying attitude...

i have a question-is it legal to bring a pair of handcuffs on board an airplane? i mean real metal cuffs, with keys and everything. does anyone know?

I believe in checked luggage it is fine. I would not attempt to take it as carry-on.

I can attest through recent experience, that even an item such as a signal whip (about 3 - 4 ft long) seems to be allowed in carry on.

I know this because I was cleared through to fly with one in my carry-on this weekend. The screener DID look twice on the xray machine, but I was still cleared without having to submit to a hands on search and explanation. And I was flying through Reagan Intl. in DC ; one of the strictest airports for security. as to the rest of the items, I can not attest to them, as I didn't have anything else "of note".

Another small light and innocuos item that makes an excellent travel kit addition would be one of those small electronic battery powered tummy trimmer machines. Not talking about a full Tens machine, these things are dollar shop fodder (you probably call them dime store junk) that you see on infomercials etc. Little things that are all one piece and go on the stomach like a belt, they theoretically stimulate the stomach muscles to fitness via pulsed zaps. They also fit on breats, crotches, cheeks and anywhere else. They're a great portable electroplay toy and are far more disposeable than one's antique violet wand set should they suffer the depredations of the evil baggage handlers.

LOL...Reminds me of when I bought both the 7 ft bullwhip and 8 ft stockwhip from Australia in the carry on luggage. Didn't seem to bother them at all. :)

We always carry antispetic wipes so that any surface we play on can be disinfected, and toys easily cleaned afterwards.

Sir has a number of kinda half size floggers of various types which are small enough to carry easily, and a little container of clothes pegs travels well, I always ask him to bring his leather gloves.... and then we have the essentials!

I love belts. They're part of my attire and certaily a part of my travelling gear, for "just in case". Aside from the obvious lashing qualaties, they're easy to tie virtually to anywhere, and customs and co-passengers won't find anything suspicious in them.

When I use belts for bondage purposes, I simply just form a loop by putting the end of the belt through the bucle, but I bend the pin back so it can run and be easily detached. To prevent the buckle folding and pinching the skin - and, even more importantly, from stopping blood circulation - I wrap a sock around the arm/wrist/ankle/whatever. It's no victory of aesthetics, but hey, it gets the job done. I've found this solution so convinient that I no longer leave the city without my collection of black leather belts. And now I'll stop, because I'm starting to feel dangerously Heloise-ish. Yuck. :)

How portable do you want?

How's this:

These four will fit in an inside jacket/suit pocket:

Pinwheel
Small Knife
Shep's Claw
Small double-sided flogger (about 8 inches long, with prickles on one side)

Easiest to carry as restraints (use to wrap the above in luggage, or for total concealment wrap them around your waist under your clothes):

Three velvet lengths which double as blindfolds or restraints

If you are packing a small suitcase/bag then portable anchor-points (like those which fit into doors), cuffs, chains and D-clips, plus a cat or two, should give you plenty of variation.

Hehehe...

I seldom travel light if I expect to play.

minimum of 3 floggers
minimum of 2 crops
minimum of 2 paddles or wooden spoons
nipple clamps
wrist and ankle cuffs
play or training collar
leash
soft rope
strap on
butt plugs
leather blind fold
lubricant
disinfectant
parachute and weights
cock corset
Two Ostrich Feathers
Well without opening the travel bag that is the bare bones basics.

Master usually has the following in His bag:

-- wrist and ankle cuffs/restraints: leather with velcro
-- Lots of rope with an assortment of o rings and clips
-- clamps
-- paddle
-- flogger
-- paddle
-- spreader bar (homemade breaks down)
-- suspension bar (homemade breaks down)
-- ball gag
-- blindfold

I'll usually have a few more toys at my end as well as soap, plugs, dildos, etc. :D

non piereced nipple rings and chain
12 inch wooden ruler
wooden round med soft brush
rope
2 vibs
nippleclamps and chain

i also have a sirik and Master brings the crop His belt ;) small flogger leash more rope :) and anything else thats handy. We have had a few meetings now and all have worked out well as i am a novice he's teaching me slowly. I would post a pic but cant work out how just yet.

If you are travelling by air it depends on where you are coming from and where you are going to. Metal objects can be trouble. I had a very small scissor (about two inches max) for cuticle and nail cutting. Not even a pervertible. From SF to NYC, no problems. From NYC to SF, they took possession of the nail care and sent me on my way. Had it been a small knife or a pinwheel I doubt they would have allowed it on carry on.
