"Of course."
It was Sienna’s turn to hide her surprise, she’d expected him to disagree or talk his way out of it perhaps but then; even if he had agreed, she hadn’t thought he’d be too happy about it. On the contrary, Vincent was smiling from ear to ear at the prospect and Sienna had to stop herself from recoiling as his fingers brushed her cheek gently. She was half smiling on the outside to keep up the façade and show Vincent she could play too but on the inside her entire body was a quivering, unnerved mass screaming for her to run from this.
"Excellent idea, dear.”
As Vincent motioned to the waitress, Sienna balled up a fist in frustration as she wished just once that she might stump the man or better yet; make him hate her or at least, not want her anymore. She watched him lean forward and squeeze Melissa’s hand, Sienna’s brow raised perceptibly as thoughts started to crawl into her mind and a ruthless smile crossed her mouth for a fleeting moment as Vincent spoke to George.
"Well, George? Surely you won't leave Melissa to come back here all on her own? I assure you, if you or Jessica feel uncomfortable, I'll have my car take you straight home."
George cleared his throat uncomfortably, he was more than outnumbered on the idea of inviting Jessica and Melissa shifted her dazzling smile from Vincent to George.
“Well…no, of course not. I, uh, I guess I’ll ask her to come along.” He said uncertainly, “I think she might be okay knowing we can just leave if she doesn’t like it.”
Sienna gave George her warmest smile, feeling slightly sorry for the nice guy being caught in a game he didn’t know was being played. George returned it and seemed to relax somewhat, he didn’t really know why but he felt that of all the people at the table, Sienna could be trusted.
“Of course she’ll be okay George!” Melissa piped up and moved between George and Sienna; breaking their eye contact.
Sienna smiled, “Well, now that’s all settled, shall we?” Sienna pulled the strap of her bag up onto her shoulder properly, smoothing her skirt as she stood up from the table and waited for them all to do the same before she could follow Vincent out from the booth.
“I suppose you’re their ride?” She said to Vincent quietly as she walked down the stairs alongside him, Melissa and George walking just ahead of them.
“This won’t work you know. If I know you then you have ideas on Melissa and quite possibly ruining George’s happy little home life.” Sienna stepped off the stairs lazily, half turning to him as she did and slowing him down, a small twinkle in her eye, “And this time, I’m playing for keeps Vincent. My way. Since you will obviously keep this up til I break, Robert gives up or you get your way. You can’t have me.” Sienna finished in a hiss and turned on her heel, tossing words over her shoulder, “Til tomorrow night.”
She smiled at Melissa and shook George’s hand before she exited, giving Vincent one last lingering look at the door with a flawless smile. Sienna quickly made her way to her car and slammed the driver‘s door shut, releasing the breath she‘d been holding since she last spoke to Vincent. It had taken more confidence and acting skills than Sienna thought she had at her disposal to pull off the ending to the night. Vincent made her nervous with what hell he could put her through, she knew it and what was worse; he knew it. So when it came right down to it, she was a jittering wreck with the thought that he might see right through her façade.
Sienna turned the ignition and drove home fast as she felt the change crawling all over her skin while her exhaustion was impeded only by her need to get home. She pulled up in a screech of tires in Robert’s jeep and half-ran inside, snatching up a pen and quickly scrawling a note.
Baby,
Please get my car towed today, need it. Have a plan.

She felt her teeth elongate and dropped to the floor in a heap as she started to change, watching the front door and hoping to catch a glimpse of Robert before she became a feline again.
