Escaping Animal State

"Of course."

It was Sienna’s turn to hide her surprise, she’d expected him to disagree or talk his way out of it perhaps but then; even if he had agreed, she hadn’t thought he’d be too happy about it. On the contrary, Vincent was smiling from ear to ear at the prospect and Sienna had to stop herself from recoiling as his fingers brushed her cheek gently. She was half smiling on the outside to keep up the façade and show Vincent she could play too but on the inside her entire body was a quivering, unnerved mass screaming for her to run from this.

"Excellent idea, dear.”

As Vincent motioned to the waitress, Sienna balled up a fist in frustration as she wished just once that she might stump the man or better yet; make him hate her or at least, not want her anymore. She watched him lean forward and squeeze Melissa’s hand, Sienna’s brow raised perceptibly as thoughts started to crawl into her mind and a ruthless smile crossed her mouth for a fleeting moment as Vincent spoke to George.

"Well, George? Surely you won't leave Melissa to come back here all on her own? I assure you, if you or Jessica feel uncomfortable, I'll have my car take you straight home."

George cleared his throat uncomfortably, he was more than outnumbered on the idea of inviting Jessica and Melissa shifted her dazzling smile from Vincent to George.

“Well…no, of course not. I, uh, I guess I’ll ask her to come along.” He said uncertainly, “I think she might be okay knowing we can just leave if she doesn’t like it.”

Sienna gave George her warmest smile, feeling slightly sorry for the nice guy being caught in a game he didn’t know was being played. George returned it and seemed to relax somewhat, he didn’t really know why but he felt that of all the people at the table, Sienna could be trusted.

“Of course she’ll be okay George!” Melissa piped up and moved between George and Sienna; breaking their eye contact.

Sienna smiled, “Well, now that’s all settled, shall we?” Sienna pulled the strap of her bag up onto her shoulder properly, smoothing her skirt as she stood up from the table and waited for them all to do the same before she could follow Vincent out from the booth.

“I suppose you’re their ride?” She said to Vincent quietly as she walked down the stairs alongside him, Melissa and George walking just ahead of them.

“This won’t work you know. If I know you then you have ideas on Melissa and quite possibly ruining George’s happy little home life.” Sienna stepped off the stairs lazily, half turning to him as she did and slowing him down, a small twinkle in her eye, “And this time, I’m playing for keeps Vincent. My way. Since you will obviously keep this up til I break, Robert gives up or you get your way. You can’t have me.” Sienna finished in a hiss and turned on her heel, tossing words over her shoulder, “Til tomorrow night.”

She smiled at Melissa and shook George’s hand before she exited, giving Vincent one last lingering look at the door with a flawless smile. Sienna quickly made her way to her car and slammed the driver‘s door shut, releasing the breath she‘d been holding since she last spoke to Vincent. It had taken more confidence and acting skills than Sienna thought she had at her disposal to pull off the ending to the night. Vincent made her nervous with what hell he could put her through, she knew it and what was worse; he knew it. So when it came right down to it, she was a jittering wreck with the thought that he might see right through her façade.

Sienna turned the ignition and drove home fast as she felt the change crawling all over her skin while her exhaustion was impeded only by her need to get home. She pulled up in a screech of tires in Robert’s jeep and half-ran inside, snatching up a pen and quickly scrawling a note.

Baby,

Please get my car towed today, need it. Have a plan.

Sienna xx

She felt her teeth elongate and dropped to the floor in a heap as she started to change, watching the front door and hoping to catch a glimpse of Robert before she became a feline again.

Vincent/Robert

[OOC: I'm so sorry this took so long!]

For Vincent, it may have been the highlight of the night. He had Melissa ready to jump him at the slightest hint and George bringing his fiancée to the club. To him, everything was in place and moving forward perfectly.

But it was Sienna's defiant declaration that truly capped the evening perfectly. The anger and spite, with that feline hiss to underline her point, heated his blood. It was a classic case of wanting what he couldn't have. Sienna was adamant that he would never have her and it made Vincent want her all the more, if for no other reason than to prove her wrong.

Vincent felt Sienna often misunderstood his intentions. Of course he had designs on Melissa, but they went further than just sex. If all Vincent wanted was a busty blonde to fuck a couple of times and then forget about, he could have hired any one of numerous escorts. But he wanted to see just what Melissa was made of and what made her the insatiable, seductive creature that she was. George was no different. What made him such a limp and weak fool, powerless to the demands of women? If that was what George's "happy little home life" turned him into, then surely breaking it apart - or at least altering it slightly - would be an act of altruism, one successful man to another?

It mattered little by then. He watched her leave and loved the idea that now she was finally getting serious. Vincent knew the only way not to lose a game was to not play it. Sienna was apparently playing for keeps. She could go all in, but Vincent wondered what she was willing to risk.

He brought George and Melissa back to Melissa's store, where the evening had begun. For a moment the hot blood in his veins tempted him to invite Melissa back to his apartment for a nightcap, but that would only prove Sienna was not his fiancée and no doubt complicate matters the next night. No, he thought, let the little harlot stew.

Still, as he reclined in the back seat of his limo, he couldn't let that feeling of restlessness go. Perhaps he'd call the agency? No, he'd left the last girl a little worse for wear and was still on their blacklist. He'd just take a cold shower and rest. He was simply savouring the anticipation of what was to come and wanted it to last as long as possible.

He had never been gone from the den for so long. He was anxious and knew that he needed to return home as soon as possible. In the East, the first rays of sunlight peeked over the horizon and split amid the trees. He was nearing the tree-line when an agonising shock of pain overcame him and he crumbled in the dirt. He whine, cried and howled between choked, laboured breaths before everything went black.

Robert woke and, through blurred vision, could see the fence around his house not far away. He struggled to get to his feet, feeling exhausted. He stumbled forward and leaned against the fence as he made his way to the gate. He hoped that no one would see him this state - naked, covered in mud and dirt and with the taste of God knows what in his mouth.

He entered the house to find Sienna already changed, laying on the floor. He knelt down beside her and gently stroked her back, holding her to his chest. When he finally regained his strength he showered and threw on some clothes before returning to the living room. Robert gently picked up Sienna's clothes and folded them carefully. It was while doing this that he found her not, hastily written but legible. He immediately called a tow truck company and drove down to Sienna's car, making sure the guy in the truck treated it well. When the car was safely parked outside his home Robert collapsed onto the bed, his body finally forcing him to rest.

OOC: My hiatus is over and this is long overdue! Thanks for your patience Deevo!

It was in feline form that exhaustion would finally claim Sienna. It was only her concern for the human male who cared for her that kept her awake. The moment he walked in the door and held Sienna to his chest; she mewed in relief and allowed her eyes to drift to a close.

When Sienna awoke, it was only a few minutes to dusk and Robert was nowhere to be seen. For reasons she couldn’t completely understand; Sienna began to meow loudly and started to franticly search each room of the house. She ended her search in the master bedroom where she found Robert still sound asleep. Sienna bounded onto the bed and got up on top of his chest where she began to meow at the top of her tiny voice. When Robert didn’t stir, Sienna tossed a glance at the window and grew quickly frustrated as her skin started to tingle and burn; the fur slowly receding from her back.

Sienna’s sharp retractable feline claws elongated on one paw and Sienna made a quick slash at Robert’s face; slicing his cheek open. He sat up with a yell that sent Sienna flying across the room while rivulets of blood flowed down Robert’s cheek. Sienna hissed at him from where she had landed on the floor but she soon started yowling painfully as her claws became fingernails and her paws stretched out into hands and fingers. Her fur racing up to sprout from her head while her breasts retook their original shape and her legs grew out beneath her. Sienna was human again.

She panted hard after her change and splayed her legs out beneath her; boosting her upper body. Sienna looked up at Robert with a feeble smile, “Sorry bout the ah…scratch baby but you’re a very difficult man to wake up!”

“My car? Did you get it here?” Sienna asked eagerly, she was starting to feel a lot more confident about taking Vincent on and getting her life; not to mention Robert’s, back.

Robert/Vincent

[OOC: Welcome back!]

Robert awoke with a start, clutching his cheek as a black blur flew across the room. His fingers were stained red; the cuts weren't deep but they were significant. On the floor, Sienna was quickly changing back to her human form. Robert knew it wouldn't be long before he, too, felt the pain of transformation.

“Sorry bout the ah…scratch baby but you’re a very difficult man to wake up!”

Well, he had to laugh.

"I forgive you," he said. "Though next time, I'll just remember to set my alarm clock." He knelt down on the floor beside her and threw a blanket over her shoulders.

"The car is out front," he said as the first aches in his stomach began to radiate outwards. There was a sparkle in Sienna's that Robert hadn't seen in a long time, not since Vincent had first put this curse on them. She had something on her mind, but what it was, Robert wasn't sure.

He quickly pulled off his clothes; no point in getting them all torn to shreds.

"I don't know what you're planning, baby, but be careful, OK?," he said, taking her face in his hands. He kissed her, inhaling her scent. Having just turned, there was still the feline smell in the air, but underneath was unmistakeably Sienna. As the scents and sounds became more intense, however, he knew time was short.

He doubled over and tried to keep himself from crying out too loudly. Fur sprouted across his body as his joints twisted and stretched. It didn't take long, thankfully, but there was still a deep melancholy in the wolf when he opened his eyes and saw the female kneeling before him.

+++++

Vincent was looking forward to this. It was his day off and he made sure that everything was just perfect before their journey to the club tonight. He wondered how they'd all react to what they saw and, inevitably, what they'd do. Because Vincent wasn't about to lead four people down the rabbit hole and allow them to act as simple spectators. No, no, one had to dive into these things to fully appreciate them.

His car would pick up Melissa, as well as George and his fiancée. Vincent, meanwhile, would make his own way to the club. He wanted to be there before them, to ensure everything was running smoothly. That left only Sienna. Vincent was almost certain she would want to make her own way there, but it never hurt to ask.

He flipped out his phone sent her a simple text message: "Want my car to pick you up with the other guests?" Then he returned to picking out the right suit. He wasn't the type for leather chaps or garish costumes. Vincent believed that sometimes the simple things were the best, and a smart clean suit made exactly the impression he wanted.
