Error 404 - This Work is Not Available

Good morning Team Lit,
I do understand that everyone is busy with the new changes to the site and the upgrades that have been made, but I’ve run into this “Error 404 - This Work Is Not Available” when posting a chapter to my ongoing series

To explain all steps that have been taken I submitted for publishing chapter 6 for the ongoing series Brenna Doherty‘s harem on Jan 26, 2026. The following day under My Activities Tab, I clicked on the story to see if it had been submitted properly to Laurel for publishing.

When the file opened I received “Error 404 - This Work Is Not Available” here is the URL

I gave the story a few days to see if the system would AutoCorrect, which I did not and it seemed the story was hung up in this 404 error.

I deleted the story and it’s entirety and rewrote, then resubmitted the story and sent it back to Laurel for review and publish. Again this morning, I checked the status of the story and again received the same 404 error.

Are there any recommendations? I have sent Laurel a direct message through a PM, submitted a Bug Report and a Feedbck, seeking assistance.

Any thoughts?

It has never left Pending since submitting.

Until it goes from pending to posted on the main side, the URL remains dead (placeholder). I've noticed that before my work goes live it is in the pending folder with two tags - the little gray tag that says pending and the new tag. Then I figure when the batch job is run it automatically picks up the new tag and makes the URL live

Until it goes from pending to posted on the main side, the URL remains dead (placeholder). I've noticed that before my work goes live it is in the pending folder with two tags - the little gray tag that says pending and the new tag. Then I figure when the batch job is run it automatically picks up the new tag and makes the URL live

It shows in the pending folder with the grey Pending tag. I do not see the new tag.

In this screenshot, you have two pending stories.

Diana After Hours 2 has been approved, its publication is pending, and is currently scheduled to post on 10 Feb 2026. That's next Tuesday.

Brenna Doherty's Harem 6 is pending review. It has not yet been approved for publication.

Thanks for including the screenshot. Your story has not been approved yet for publication. That is why the link is dead. Every evening so I've read from other posts in the Forum Literotica has a automatic program that picks up all the new tags in the pending folder and post them live. Until you get that little new tag along side of the gray pending tag your hyperlink will be dead (404)

Okay I will just wait it out. Previously I had seen a message tht said something to the effect that the “Story is Pending Moderator Approval.

If I submit a story called Brenna Doherty's Harem Ch 06 today, Literotica will resolve this conflict by assigning mine to https://www.literotica.com/s/brenna-doherty-s-harem-ch-6-2. This is unlikely to actually happen, because chaptered stories tend to be a bit more uniquely titled, but this is how the system translates titles into website addresses. Your story has one set aside for it already, and will appear there pending review and publication.

404 is just web server speak for, "I don't have any file by that name."

These are the dark arts of Lit. I have a story that is https://www.literotica.com/s/Out-3 because I was the 3rd person to submit a story with that title, and they are numerated in a first come, first serve manner. The other two were submitted years earlier.
