What qualifies as an Erotic poem? Can a romantic poem be erotic? Depending on the reader, I think it can. But how do you categorize your poems when you submit them? Lit's definition is "Poems without a sexual focus" But to me, seduction and foreplay are sometimes more erotic than sexual focus.

And that's why we love you so much, WD...

What qualifies as an erotic poem? Any writing that makes us want to plunk our magic twangers, froggie...

Can a romantic poem be erotic? But of course!

How do I categorize my poems when I submit them? If what I write makes me throb when I'm writing it, I call it erotic.

Well said!

I frequently judge stories and poems by my husband's reaction when he reads.

Most certainly, throb equals erotic!! ;)

Is "reaction" the correct spelling? Do you use postage?

I've been asked that question lately. Someone wanted to know if some of my poems should be classified as erotic. This person found them to be romantic. I've been placing all my romantic and sex poems under erotic. Some that may not be truly erotic really don't fit under non erotic.
