Erotic Horror Story Idea...

I got this idea while debating abortion with a few people on AH.

Here it goes.

A woman has an abortion, for reasons of convenience, money, etc., however that is NOT the end of the road for the ghost of the fetus. Instead, the 12 week old's specter somehow obtains the body of an adult male, becomes fully aware of what happened to him earlier, and vows revenge on the woman who had him aborted. He plans a torture-and-rape session that results in her bearing HIS seed, which is a bizarre form of incest, I know, but I thought it might work. At the end, he confronts her, she admits to her crime, and they reconcile, going their separate ways, aside from sharing custody of the kid.

Horror is the category that I had in mind, as it is the most extreme label that could be applied to it.

That is pretty definitly horror. Shit if I had the time and talent I would steal this one from you because it is a deliciously twisted idea. Me I'm pro-choice so I'm certain that my personal prejudices would come out in this story. Just like only someone who was pro-life could come up with an idea like this. Still I'd love to help you bounce ideas back and forth the flesh this idea out.

I think the man he possesses should be somebody of some importance to her. The doctor or the the father perhaps?

Possibly. Possession is a definite possibility. Or a "Down to Earth" kind of scenario, where a vindictive deity decides to give the ghost a body for that purpose. Osiris comes to mind.

I love the premise but my opinion is that I would change the ending from the part where they reconcile after the confession. You've built a very powerful gothic story and I would just make it more interwoven (something in that confession) and even more sinister. Don't end it as a custody issue please!

Interesting notion. I had never thought that my idea might be too TAME. If anything, I was worried about the opposite.

Thanks. So far, the only horror stories I have written were the "Ghost Hubby Haunting" ones. Damn, I must like writing about ghosts! They ARE more interesting than simple monsters, because they are STILL PEOPLE with clear motives and an opening for abstract thought, not mindless creatures with no agenda beyond death and destruction. They still have personalities.
