What are the preferred genres of erotic stories out there? What topics get you hard or make you tingle? More than just categories (Anal, oral, etc) what kind of stories do you like? I personally like Fantasy and Sci-Fi, though erotica in those genres seem to be very poorly received. Anyone like spy stories? Westerns? Romantic adventure? Crime/Mystery stories with that extra twist? What are the stories that you go looking for?

Well honestly when I'm checking out erotica I like kidnapping stories the best...don't really know what genre I would prefer. I would be interested in reading historical fiction, and spy stories. Sci-fi can be interesting, but no non-human stuff = )

Kidnapping? 'Perils of Pauline' type of stuff, or stories darker in nature?

Im all over the place on my tastes but as far as plots, spy stories are great. Not really into some of the sci-fi stuff I've read here, although there were a few that ummm grabbed my interest. lol

The best idea you tossed around, where I'm concerned, was the mystery/crime with a twist.

Turn of the century (Perhaps I should say, the previous turn of the century?) tales of 'ravishment.'

I thought for a moment you were going to show your age there, T.

Perils of Pauline was a silent film (moom pitcher to the Americans among us) series in which the heroïne had a series of cliff-hanger escapes from all sorts of terrible predicaments, mostly of a non-sexual nature such as being tied to a railway line with a train thundering towards her at a hundred miles an hour. The jnext episode would show how she was rescued from that one and put into the next one.

Never seen the original but I've seen a million and one cartoons about that!

(Chicklet's first fantasy involved an episode of 'my little ponies' in which one of the ponies was kidnapped and tied up by vines from a plant. She was six years old...it started the infatuation)

CB;

Thanks for the clarification. I've always had visions in my head of a dude in the top hat twiddling his waxed moustache and such, and knew about the cliffhanger thing, but never knew it was a silent picture series.

Live and learn!

Now I'm thinking about Dudley Do Right...does anyone else like that cartoon?

Bow before your goddess, all you mortals! mwahahahaha (the power goes straight to chicklet's head)

Very good. You may live.

<chicklet's head inflates to the size of a small hot air balloon and drifts over to the balloon sex thread>

Are you into the 'Hard Boiled' types of novels? The Mike Hammer style of private eye in a trenchcoat and fedora using 30's and 40's style slang; the whole works? I've always liked that period of time and those simple, entertaining novels.

Those politically incorrect stories are a blast to read. You almost need a dictionary of gangster slang to get through them! Those gumshoes really knew how to stick it to those dames!

Anyone else into that?

Any particular stripe of pirates? Barbary Coast Corsairs? Chinese pirates working the Pacific Rim? The privateers of England preying upon the Spanish? The Buccaneers and Freebooters who prowled the carribean and other new world colonies?

What floats your boat?

My preference is a good seduction story. Someone working hard and finally gets what is not "theirs" and that they should not have.

Also, dominant women stories are nice. The type I am interested in are stories where the man starts out dominant, but slowly looses control and the woman ends up dominating him.
