I'm curious.
I finished my little poem, basically a short tribute to the sounds a man makes when he's coming, and how they affect me as a woman. I decided that reciting it would make it more meaningful than simply posting the text.

However, it is NOT a moaning, groaning, Help-me-I'm-coming-now type of audio, LOL. It really serves only to bring more feeling and depth to the words and I'm curious as to whether it is even appropriate to posting to Lit. I really don't want to get bad reviews simply because someone clicked on it expecting to hear a recording of me going at myself or something.

Maybe post it with a disclaimer saying "don't expect to get off on this?" ROFLOL

I've send it to a few of my readers for opinions and review. So far, the response has been good. ( of course, flattery may simply be their way of trying to get in my ample panties, lololol)

Anyway, I thought I'd ask here for honest feedback as to whether something like that would be accepted?

A poem should not need a disclaimer or an apology and it doesn't really matter if it is accepted or not. If you submit it in the "text with audio" section, it find itself among many "Help-me-I'm-coming-now" poems.

True, bronzeage, thanks for reminding me of that. :)
So, this begs the question, even though vocal delivery of the poem adds volumes to the meaning, should it be submitted as such since, in doing so it automatically sticks it in the same category as the more, interactive audios?

And I'm not knocking the come fuck me audios, either. I happen to enjoy them very much. :)

You.

Hi, I read your bio, very interesting, you would be able to talk with more people including writers if you had contact info other than just writing on your posts. PMs can be very helpful.

It's my personal prejudice that all poetry should be spoken aloud. For myself, the written form is only because I don't have the capacity to recite from memory.

There are many fine pieces in the text with audio forum. I think they tend to get lost, over there. The last time I searched for a particular piece, I couldn't find it.

If it were mine, I would submit it as a regular poem and let it stand on it's own.

Bronzeage,
I'll consider it.

Eros,
I was unaware that I needed to "set" anything to allow PMs..But I did add my Yahoo IM to the profile in case anyone needs to contact me.

Thanks Harry :)

Beautiful poem, Rubenesque, and one that would lend itself to recitation methinks ..

Thanks, Nonfictional,

The audio turned out nicely, but I decided against it.. :p I was afraid it mught get buried with other audio submits.

I'm happy those of you who read it liked it, and those of you who didn't like it, well, perhaps I didn't convey as accurately as I would have liked
