Nessus,
Do you take any interest in erotic photography or are you primarily focused on paintings, sketches, etc?
modest mouse said:I must say...that some of theses are 'too' direct for my taste, I am not drawn in but rather left on the outside looking in.
#2 The implication of the feather is more thought provoking than the image. One woman sitting down and taking her lovers feet with the feather brushing her back on its way to the soles of her feet. Its also interesting to note how often erotica presents an interracial scene without it be specifically about that.
#8 Another one that provokes thought. The eye contact is direct but I see an entire scene at work. The women are sitting on a pile of rope in the hold of a ship, as if the lady on the left were truly a captive. I see woman on the right as a 'countess', keeping a playtoy for her trip across the Atlantic.
Also, there is an inverted female symbol between the knees of the women.

OMG! I was coming on this thread to ask her that very question. I have a bunch of old bondage pics of women from this one website, and they might intrest her.
I know this isn't the place to put them all, but I'll post one, and if you like them, I'll put them all on one thread for you.
MM, why did you ask? You're just very clever aren't you? You know thy Starfish. Yes you do.
Starfish said:I guess I'd have to post one, huh?
Duh!

You are an intense watcher, yes?It is good. These scenes draw me in, it is interesting to me, yes
I know it would not be to others. The racial one is special to me.
I love all art, my friend, all, it matters not whether it be cinema, photography or the pencil. As long as it touches me![]()

Oh yes, art is personal and unique to each of us; our minds, our eyes, our hearts. This morning, while looking at punk albums, i was reminded of an image that ended up landing the Dead Kennedy's in court for pornography/obscenity. It is viewed as art in most minds but it shows how different things are. The HR Giger pic inserted below.
It is indeed whatever gets inside out heads. For me, something like Robert Indiana is brilliant but its hack work to others. Much of the fun in exploring art is finding both what makes you click and what doesnt...both are telling.
