what the fuck is wrong with beauty for beauty's sake? why is it that as soon as someone otherwise attractive gets a little attention for it, people feel the need to put them down for whatever shortcomings they have?
"oh, those breats are fake!"
"oh she wears too much make-up."
"oh, he is too big."
what the fuck? why do we scrutinize celebrities, and even everyday people?

I don't consider fake breasts a shortcoming. I consider that a voluntary implementation of hatred toward women.

Why do women have to be large-breasted to be attractive? Why do they have to get expensive surgeries to feel attractive? I am very rarely pleased for them when I hear of a friend or acquaintance getting fake breasts because they rarely do it for what I'd consider a reason that promotes happiness.

If they weren't happy when an A or B cup, they sure aren't going to be happy when wearing a C or D cup.

I think this culture we have with such a worshipful attitude to large breasts is propogating a hatred for the average female body. I have big tits. Whoopee. They do nothing but attract male attention and cause me back pain. Sometimes it's nice to turn to the male into a slobbering beast with a flash of cleavage, but most of the time it seriously sucks because I am more than a body part.

I don't want women to feel as if they have to submit to surgical body modification in order to be considered attractive. They should feel that they are attractive no matter what kind of chest they're supporting.

This topic usually get's me seriously hot under the collar.

"beauty" and natural beauty are two different things in my opinion

i never envy people for having natural beauty ... but i also usually keep my mouth shut about people who have "beauty" so i guess this thread isn't about me :)

what about braces? what about lipo? facelifts, nose jobs, or any other procedure for enhancement? u do fail to prove how it is actually a hatred towards women. that doesn't make sense.
thy don't necessarily feel they have to do something. they want to. i love it whjen people speak for others so casually. what about those who do it like it wre getting a new outfit? what about those who were happy b4? they just did it 4 modification.

hatred of women? please.

i agree with KM about breast enhancement

its a shallow world that you have to actually go under the knife and have lumps of plastic stuffed in your body to make your breasts look bigger to be considered the normal kind of "beautiful"

Doesn't it?

A woman must go under a knife in order to be beautiful. How is that not hatred?

oh MY GOD!!! do you realize u r actually a parody of feminism!!??

Why the hostility here, pa?

I don't think women shouldn't get whatever body modification they can afford. I think that it's one of the wrongs in society that many women feel the need to get their body modified in order to be thought attractive. This is a hateful attitude to the female form.

The feminine "ideal" right now is an emaciated doll with disproportionately large breasts. Prior to that it was Barbie with her 40 inch chest and 17 inch waist.

This isn't any one person's hatred of women, this is a societal hatred of the female body. Unless, of course, it's "perfect" whatever that may be.

why the hostility...
cause i hear your argument all the time...with no backup!

who says society looks at women that way?
most guys i know like curvy women with big asses.

i don't know too many womenwho felt they NEEDED to do something like that. and of the few i did know...i'd gather 50 % of them disliked their own figures and then put down those who did something about it. who says SOCIETY made them feel that way?

I love beauty in all it's forms. Beautiful people are nice to look at. If there's more to them, cool, if not, oh well. Eye candy is eye candy. Still nice to look at.

Are you trying to tell me that a woman would submit to an expensive surgery for big tits if the "ideal" woman had an A cup? If gorgeous babes on TV, in magazines, and on all of the swimsuit editions/playboy centerfolds/various men's mags were all of an A cup, all the porn sites and porn stories screamed that she had tiny tits and the guy can't get enough, that women would still want to have bigger boobs?

That women get them only because they want the larger breasts and not in any sort of effort to please someone else's idea of what's sexy?

I like women with all shapes n'sizes of breast.
but then again, Im a depraved and sick individual that can turn just about anything into a erotic thought.

In fairness to us our desire for big tits is probably human nature.

i notice i am like that when i am having a bad day, like when I heard j.lo is getting married again. the first thing that came out of my mouth is that bitch, she is going to get married every year until her tits fall off, mind you i am suffering from withdraw of my meds. I guess we do it because of jealousy

are youtelling me ll of these things are an accurat reflecton of society?

remember these mediums, don't put outthe ideal, so much as they put out the rare. small breasts are actually comming back...oh and playboy has c-cups maybe 2/3 of tyhe time. in the porn i've seen there have been plenty of a-cups and heffers too. and what about the "waif" look of a few years back?

things run in cycles

That's true. The waif look coincided with an upsurgance of new anorexia and bulimia cases.

It's very simple.

There is a bodily ideal of what's attractive in society.
Women will do what they can to attain it.
And they will torture themselves when they can't.

Or do you recommend government subsidies of boob jobs so that all women can feel good about their bodies?

lmao did usee snl this week?

TINA FEY: in other news jennifer lopez and ben affleck officially announced their engagement this week. this will be the third marrige for lopez, the first marriage for affleck, and the last marrige for niether.

I should also note that men are not immune to societal pressures in regards to their "bodily ideal" either.

RIDICULOUS!
#1 it didn't at all. the stats on body dismorphia remained the same.
#2 the "ideal" put by "society" on women hs actually been shown (in replicated studies) to be put their by women themselves. they tend to put corresponding standards on men, yet they are unresponsive and in fact think women want largr rather than leanermen...while women think men want far leaner figures than they do. in fact they beleive men want them to look leaner than they want to look themselves.
