Jeffrey Skilling made a deal to give up $40 million and get out of jail a decade early.

Would you?

I would never have $40 million dollars but if I did I think I would. I can't imagine being in prison. Does it automatically make him rehabilitated?

I would buy the prison and convert it to an estate.

And I'd give all the friendly inmates jobs keeping me company while the guards had to mow the lawns, mop the floors and clean the jizz trap in the pool.

Perfect super villain hideout.

"Give up $40M"?

One has to wonder why said $40M wasn't taken from him shortly after his conviction.

Let's just say he'll never do it again.

(Because, you know, it's not the sort of thing you can do unless people with a whole lot of money or decision-making power entrust you with it.)

i wonder how many minutes it'll take before he get's a job offer.

from here on out, it's called consulting. paid for by the hour, to put him back into the big house. there is plenty stashed away here and there for longterm survival. just think of all the wonderful new prison contacts!

It was seized, and has been in legal limbo since his arrest. He agreed to give up his claim to it, so now it can be distributed among those he cheated (and the lawyers too, of course).

Yes, there's always the bright side. :D

If I hade all the money this guy stole from the company I could afford it.
Goes to show that the law doesn't apply to the rich.

He got the longest prison term of anyone involved in the scandal and has agreed to drop all appeals. How does the law not apply to him?

Fuck him. He shouldn't have any claim to it anyway.

If prison is supposed to be such a deterrent, then this guy should be the prime example.

lemme write you a check

yay! for american justice!

the fact he still had $40mil to to give to the families, that wasn't given to the them earlier speaks volumes to what justice really is in this country. chump change. he won't ever have to worry about retirement.
