ok so the thread isn't as interesting as the toy store vist thread, but here's the deal.

I've got all the music from Evita stuck in my head and can't get it out.

Saw about 1/2 of the movie version on TV something like 5 days ago and ever since then I've been walking around singing it. I like the show and all, I know the music pretty well which is probably why it got stuck in my head but I want it out.

I've listened to other music since then, sang other songs, but can't get rid of "Don't Cry for Me Argentina" along with a few others.

Any suggestions?:(

Oh, I feel for you! One time when I was younger I had The Brady Bunch theme song stuck in my head replaying over and over and over for around eight hours... I got so sick I started getting massive migraines and throwing up. Worst time of my life. Made even worse by the fact that I hate, absolutely LOATHE, the Brady Bunch.

I have no idea how to fix the problem... maybe have a hot round of sex... it just has to naturally purge itself from your system. Good luck!

Her name was Lola
She was a showgirl
with yellow feathers in her hair, and a dress cut down to there
she could merengue
and do the cha-cha
and while she tried to be a star, Tony always tended bar across the crowded floor
they worked form eight til four
they were young and they had eachother
who could ask for more

At the Copa
Copa Cabana

come on now everybody, sing along with me...

*sigh*
Tania sex might be the solution, at least a temporary one, but :( I have no partner.

Umm... thanks. *scowls*

have someone else finish the song for you.

I used to get the refrain from de javu in my head "we have all been here before" and my freinds band would play it out and finish it for me.

Last night, one of those strange nights where suddenly it is 1 am and you find yourself outside showing a pansies to a 2 yr while his parents move shelving and I had "I have often walked down this street before" from my fair lady in my head, so badly that the 2yr was singing it too.

a few hours earlier we had started out talking about hound of the baskervilles movie with basil rathbone, after a breif discussion of him in Robin hood, we decided Jeremy Brett was the true Sherlock, then we talked about his death, then his early work, when I remembered he was the dandy in My Fair Lady who sang "I have often walked.... "and then it was stuck for quite a while, finally the 2 yrs dad came out, he knew all the words! and we all sang it together and ended it!

I hope this helps. Maybe if we all sing it with you ?

hmmm thanks noor,

I own a 2 CD recording of Evita. Bought it way back before the movie was made when my high school did the show. (Shaking my head remembering Bohdy as a tango singer)

I'll try playing them. Or maybe I should dig out another show. hmmm

What's really annoying is that my brain keeps flipping between songs, sing Evita's themes, then Che's or whatever Banderas' char's name is. Then the upper class snobs, like the whole damn show is playing in my head out of order.

15 hours later and it's gone....I think. It just got replaced by "Smokescreen"

Have you seen my girl
She's the one with the curly hair
She was sitting just right over there
Now she's nowhere to be found.

I think she's mad at me
I don't know why
It's because I made her cry
When I told her I was down.....

She's tracking, she tracks me down
She's bound to track me down.

anybody else know this song?

here are a couple of songs that tend to wipe out any others stuck in your head(sometimes it isnt a good thing either):

The Safty Dance
You spin me round round baby (dead or alive)
come on eileen
i melt with you

and just about any other catchy 1 hit qonder from the 80's

Why did you do this to me??? I had to listen to this song on Friday while stuck in a car with a Manilow fan. Today was the first day that I didn't think about the song since then..... until now. I hope it is not stuck in my head another 3 days.

Is it possible to edit your first post to include some sort of warning? Something like:

"By reading this thread subliminal brain-washing may occur!"

~humms~"Its a small world after all"... damn, now I need help.

Sincerely hope you can purge your mind.
