I assume that this board is the most appropriate place to put this.

I'm not alone amongst American heterosexual males with regards to being very turned on by our female counterparts across the ocean, am I? Granted, I like many different kinds of women, but I find myself fantasizing tonight, not for the first time, about falling for a charming, pretty English woman. Yes, the accents are very nice, but I can't help but feel attracted to the image of women from this part of the world, based on the ones that I've seen and I suppose also a romantic notion of their attitude and culture.

Furthermore, feedback from Lit's English ladies might be nice; how does this make you feel?

tribes and dialects

Yes, well, I have to agree with you about English women... They are a little varied though depending on from which part of that country they're raised - and although not a total expert, I have certainly noticed that women from the south of the place are a lot more outgoing and confident than those from the north. There's a lot of personality and individuality still left in English women compared to the sort of 'global urban generic sitcom' type of person you find virtually everywhere these days.

Although of course people will argue with this, I find you CAN say that some cultures seem to 'make the grade' more generally across the board of the population than some other cultures. For instance, I think Australian women are mostly all completely useless - except for those that aren't and they are sensational, but they are the definite minority. Whereas, in my view, English girls are less of a lottery - a majority are quite okay.

There are some types of English people that I just can't abide at all, too, though...! Yet there are others who are simply fantastic and sexually inspiring in every way, and easy to get on with. As my father always told me - and he was an english teacher - the Cockney accent although in history regarded as lower class (an important thing in the English world of the past and mostly not now...!) does not imply stupidity or incorrect usage of the language. I have found many Mancunian, Liverpool, and Doncaster women easily as smart as anyone that I have ever met from anywhere else, including those who speak with a plum in their mouth.

I speak with a plum in my mouth as it happens - that is my natural voicing - but I have 'learned' to talk with the natives and get away with being one. Now that I live in Australia.

South Africa women cut the mustard too, in my view. And yes, I guess I have acquired 'some' experience in life...

As an English woman, how could I be anything other than flattered by such fullsome praise for my fellow counrty women!?

Even as a native of this wonderful island, I live the variety of accents, mentality and culture variations by region.

"English" is a very broad brush

I agree, flattered here. Although I've never understood the allure of the varied British accents.

Nice big boobs with long nipples and a British accent? Hard thinking about it.

I agree

I had as my first submissive an English girl. I say girl for I was 30 and she was 26. Her mother had been a war bride and the girl had many of the traits of her mother.

I think of her often. She always bring a warm feeling to me.

Since then I have always been attracted to British women

Jack

Thank you Gentlemen, I am also very flattered, though I too don't understand why you feel that way :):)

Also flattered. There are numerous regional accents up and down the country, though if you're from abroad, they'll all sound the same

British girls are cute that's for sure. But as an English guy I tend to find northern girls are warmer and more outgoing. I guess there's probably no difference really and you're either lucky enough to meet the warmer people or not.

It's probably the appeal of the exotic.

I find SOME Welsh women very attractive. I found Australian girls to be great partners but some Australian women's harsh strident accents very grating.

When I was in Australia for two years in the early 1960s I was considered, by some young women, to be exotic as an 'Englishman' who was a visitor, not an immigrant. I don't think it was necessarily my accent, or my then physical fitness, but that I was prepared to talk to them and listen to what they said.

At the time, at a typical Australian disco, the men would be gathered around the bar and the women would be in a gaggle at the other end of the room, sometimes dancing with each other. I would walk to the women's end and politely ask one of them for a dance. The Australian men wouldn't do that...

How could you think we could leave you out, with that lovely smile. We will just move Hadrian's Wall a hundred miles north. :D
Awww thank you DeeJay although my accent is a bit of both now after living in the South of England for so long :)

All the British regional accents appeal.

Lived in Wales for 4 years and I miss the Welsh accent although I think my favourite has to be the Irish accent it always sounds so sultry :)

I realize I'm taking a risk here... but I'd further expand this delightful group to include Irish women. I haven't met many red heads of stereotype during my many visits, but I have come to know several gorgeous, funny, down-to-earth women who love every minute of life -- most of whom are blonde or raven haired. Love 'em all.

Its the woman more than the accent.

I wish when I was yfs we had the internet back then. If I'd made friends with some US ladies ,my holidays in the 80's and early 90's would've been a bit more fun.

There is definitely something really sexy about the British ladies. I love to hear them talk. But something else about them, I'm not sure what it is really turns me on.
