I'm an English teacher, editor and published author with a lot of time on my hands for the next couple of weeks until classes start. I'd be interested in helping someone with grammar and proofreading.

I'm nearly finished with a story. Could you tell me what you like to read?

My story contains non-human, with humans. My grammar is decent, but I think my punctuation could use some work. I had a story rejected for "character tags" not really sure what it was.

I've since started a new story and I've been working on it for a week now, on and off.

I'm gonna do things right this time and look for an editors help. If you're interested, please let me know.

Few know what proofreading is. It's simply comparing old (dead) copy with a new (live) version and noting what the differences are. It's not editing.

What's your point? I've done quite a bit of both, and I know the difference.
