Speaking as a biased participant I reckon we are.

I mean, why else are we in great demand by women all over the world...

When I went on foreign trips to Europe as a student, the english girls always used to go for Frenchmen or Italians. Not sure if that's an indictment on englishmen per se or the particular specimens of english manhood who went on the trip.

Being English and a little shy I'm not normally one to get involved in debates like this but:

I had a great relationship with a lovely girl from Florida who to this day swears English men are the best.

Same with Belgian, Canadian and Spanish girls I know (not saying it was me who gave them this impression).

However the reputation of the English in Europe is not very complimentary - overweight, beer guzzling thugs I think!

I live on the Isle since 1998 and so far my best "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland" men were from Northern Ireland and Scotland.
I have only ever had 1 English guy - he wasn't all THAT bad, certainly better than my Canadian experience
