English Accent...

I think the real question is, are there any ladies who don't love the British accent. :p
I like the accent, but I must admit... it gets on my nerves sometimes.

Very heavy ones can be irritating at times, but I think any accent can be like that.

thats true:p

so wht in particular do you like about the accent?

Oh didn't you know..?

The English accent means 'sinister' or 'evil' to most Americans.

Almost all of the screen villains in US films are played by English actors who are encouraged to hype up the accent.

The heroes, on the other hand, are that paradox: 'all-American boys' who have, de rigueur, an Irish surname.

Hilarious stereotypes really but swallowed by the masses without much protest. They think we all talk like Hugh Grant.

Fom my All American Girl perspective

More often than not, we (Americans) assume someone with an English accent to be well educated rather than evil. Although, I do have to admit that being 'sinister' is something that I find to be very sexy, so maybe I'm not the best person to ask.

Screen villains in US films aren't particularly English, but it is indeed quite common that they're from somewhere foreign.

I know you don't all talk like Hugh Grant. Thank God you don't all look like him either! Or are as much of a douche and a terrible actor as he is.

You're forgetting to mention the British Rock Star stereotype, as portrayed by Vesuvius in "The Rocker" and Russell Brand in his everyday life. Any character that's rich, famous and in a band is always this sort of (delicious) combination of Mick Jagger, David Bowie, Freddie Mercury and Sid Vicious. That delicious was deliberate; I also happen to have a fetish for rock stars.

My english accent is open to any lady at any time :D

TBH I have to admit sometimes I have got annoyed when some American (mainly) seem to want to talk to me on the sole basis of my supposed accent but I am more open to it these days :)
