Endless Ends

Did I recommend the movie or just the trailer?
It’s funny because I was just talking about this movie the other day with someone who just saw it and I didn’t remember a single thing about the movie.

Also, I think there is supposed to be a meteor shower tonight and it’s cloudy as balls!
I wanted some meteors!!!

Hmmm…..

But Enny, you have to appreciate the connection with flotation devices and your penchant for horror movies . . . at least a mild chuckle.

^^^I swear some of these movies are made because the title sounds good.
I also have no idea how you keep finding them. :D

Llamageddon reminds me of watching the movie Rubber
About a homicidal tire rolling through the desert murdering people.
They sound so bad that you have to watch them!
It appears you merely mentioned the movie.

Though,

*narrows eyes*

I feel it could be construed as a recommendation.

I could use some meteors. Send 'em my way. :p

"The Perseid meteor shower (also known as The Perseids) is perhaps the most popular meteor shower of the year, visible between July and August. With clear skies, you could see what some consider the most spectacular cosmic light show.

American spectators can expect to see the greatest number of meteors during the shower's peak between Aug. 11-12 this year, according to the American Meteor Society (AMS)(opens in new tab). Though, the 2022 Perseids won’t be quite as spectacular as they were in 2021, due to the full moon illuminating the sky."

I really would like to see this. Hmmm. It runs through the 21st. I should be able to manage something. I mean, the skies should be clear. It's not like we're getting any rain. 🤦‍♀️*

*Why isn't there a blond person option?

I think I’m in the clear, but I see your point.
I’m certainly going to have to accept some of the blame.
Then again we were discussing a movie called llamageddon, so . . .

Watch the Skies!

I went out again tonight and the sky is crystal clear. There was one point where a moth flew over my head and for one split second I got really excited, but it was only a moth.

Llamageddon was entertaining in it's horrific badness!!!

It. Was. So. Bad.

That alone made it worth the watch. :p

Rubber, except for a couple of spectacular highs (the tricycle thing was da bomb) was merely boring.

I am holding you and your moth accountable. :D

*now in possession of a water vehicle with which to use the floatation device*

Next up? Aquire paddles.

One step at a time. :p

Okay, this^ is interesting. Why are her legs in the water? *imagine the old confused emoji here*

a) I imagine she had to wade into the water to get in place . . . and will likewise need to wade out . . . or

b) she miscalculated the needed length of the flotation device.

p.s. will this work instead? - ""

Welp. I needed to make it to mid-September, and, for whatever godforsaken reason, the universe is doing it's utmost to circumvent me crossing the finish line.

*double extra extra thud*

So. I desperately need to vegetate. Points for soothing movie recommendations. Classics. Like, The Old Dark House (1932), a near perfect movie, based on a 1927 book titled the Benighted, and remastered by Cohen Media Group in 2017. (A book which I still need to track down and read.)

Or The Ninth Guest (1934), a movie precursor remarkably similar in plot concept, if not plot detail, to Agatha Christie's 1939 And Then There Were None.

*waits*

:p

It Happened One Night (1934)

The 39 Steps (1935)

Citizen Kane (1941)

Not all are "soothing", but each is a classic.

*sneaks back in and says BOO!!!*

I see things are still rolling along here, with all sorts of helpful information about anything and everything. I hope everyone is doing well and not melting so far.

Soothing movie, you say? I enjoyed Enchanted April, and oldie about four repressed English women who take an Italian villa for the summer and end up having their lives healed.

Also, just finished a book, The Little Paris Bookshop by Nina George, about love and loss and grief and healing and love again. Has a French sensibility to it and is a beautiful read.

*scampers off again*

Jenny!! So good to see you!

I just googled Enchanted April. Lots of awards. *puts in on the list*

Don't be a stranger, woman.

Bring more movies. And books. And Helga.

:p

You guys never fail me. :rose:

I've never heard of, It Happened One Night, but it looks eminently watchable. The 39 Steps is favorite!

Citizen Kane…might be a little intense for my mental state. :p

Thank you. :rose:

The Monolith Monsters.

Sounds like a dumb plot for a movie, but it’s actually pretty good!
One word.

Ooooooooooooooooh! :catroar:
