Uncredited genius Milicent Patrick with her creation, everyone’s favorite, the Creature aka the Gill Man.
Have you seen The Shape of Water? You know, complete and utter tangent here, but . . . .
It's never really struck me before, but The Creature is sort of monster erotica.
Has monster porn has always been a thing?
(You're stretching my brain in weird ways, @investor2020 )
I do not believe I have had the pleasure. Should I?Have you seen The Shape of Water?
I didn’t love it, but a lot of people did. It is basically a “love story” retelling (very loosely based) of the Creature from the Black Lagoon—according to Guillermo del Toro, the director.I do not believe I have had the pleasure. Should I?
Oh! Huh. This seems like it's worth a look, at the very least.I didn’t love it, but a lot of people did. It is basically a “love story” retelling (very loosely based) of the Creature from the Black Lagoon—according to Guillermo del Toro, the director.
We should also point out they made a female Creature for the sequels that was never used.
Nay, nay Enny . . . I'm only providing informative photos and information . . . your brain is acting solely on its own !You know, complete and utter tangent here, but . . . .

Oh, I definitely need to get out more! And I can assure you I will be steering clear of those monster singles clubs. You may need to get out more . . . but stay away from the singles bars !

Sorry, the original Creature.Oh! Huh. This seems like it's worth a look, at the very least.
The female Creature not used was for The Shape of Water? Or . . . the original Creature?
Are there pictures of the female Creature about? Have we seen them?Sorry, the original Creature.
This is the only pic I can find of it:Are there pictures of the female Creature about? Have we seen them?
They would be worth a gander.
I wonder why they didn't follow up on the idea. They did, after all, do two sequels. Seems like it would have been successful.![]()
Thank you! It would be so cool it they had preserved both the costumes. This is the only pic I can find of it:

Yes!!!!!Kolchak: The Night Stalker! Amazing right?
I haven't seen those yet but I want to. I THINK they might be on Peacock along with the series? I'll have to take a look.Yes!!!!!
I was just thinking about our conversation back some time in the thread! Did you know that there were two movies prior to the series? The first one did so well they made a second. There was a third in the works, but they turned it into the series instead.
The Night Stalker (1972)
The Night Strangler (1973)
I had a chance to watch recently. The first is a different tone - less humor and more serious. The second is more tonally like the series.
Totally worth a watch if you haven't seen.![]()

Ummmm. Okay.I think I remember this line from The Wizzard of Oz: "coyotes and starlings and grackles, oh my !!"![]()

I have acquired this and will watch it this weekend.I didn’t love it, but a lot of people did. It is basically a “love story” retelling (very loosely based) of the Creature from the Black Lagoon—according to Guillermo del Toro, the director.
