Endless Ends

Oh! Did I mention Gargoyles' Revenge involves not only gargoyles, but Bucharest and priests and CIA agents?

:D

I was thinking about this, and find myself confused.

There are Greenbriers that aren't thorny?
I though Greenbriers was a golf resort in W. VA . . .

Never ran into them in my time in TX. After research, do you realize you are destroying a food source?:

"All parts of the plant are nutritious and delicious. Smilax vines in the garden can provide a unique food source while adding natural beauty. The vines are cover and fodder for numerous wild birds and animals and its tubers, stems, leaves, and berries can all be used in various recipes."

^^^ Gorgeous! I'm so attracted to black and white with a splash of color.

Tonight's perusal (since I'm doing one sci-fi/horror movie a day, is apparently) is A Sound of Thunder (2008). Really bombed with the critics and the box office, but they can suck it. I'm fan. :cattail:

The one with Ed Burns? I thought it was not so bad, either. Definitely escapist entertainment.

This drought is doing a number on my plumbing. :head desk:

Thank goodness my plumber is so accommodating on these little jobs.

I ran across a book today that made me think of you and NRJ, Hotwords.

My Heart is a Chainsaw (2021), Stephen Graham Jones. He does gritty, experimental, horror fiction.

(I think I saw this somewhere pre-publish, as it sounds familiar.)

Anyhoo, it's about a girl (Jade) who's obsessed with horror movies. Her knowledge of the genre causes her to realize when a slasher becomes active, and then a final girl comes to town. Jade knows it's on, but no one wants to listen to an outcast who loves horror.

Apparently it's chock full of horror movie references. The reviewers call it, "A beautiful love letter to horror movies".

I lack an adequate horror rolodex, but....

I am intrigued.

Ordered.

The first full Moon of fall 2022, Sunday October 9th —the “Hunter’s Moon”—will look at its brilliant best not on one, but two successive evenings this weekend.

Named for the pre-winter hunting season, October’s full Moon is also sometimes called the Sanguine Moon, the “Dying Grass Moon” and the “Travel Moon.”

I feel like we should be collaborating on something moon-y.

A book series.
A podcast.
Poetry.

Okay. So maybe not poetry. I can barely rhyme.

But….something.

I am a saver, not a spender.
I am a saver, not a spender.
I am a saver, not a spender.

This whole hiring in labor for projects may result in speedier results, but I fear for my blood pressure. 😂

I mean, I could do all those things myself.

You know, mostly.

Maybe.

:p

I have not seen four of the seven movies listed.

Idk about Hellraiser. I tried reading one of his books and couldn't sleep for a week!

How is Hocus Pocus 2? Have you seen it?
I plan on watching HP2, I laughed at the first one when I watched it years after its initial release.
