Endless Ends

Wait. What is this? I've never heard of such.

#confused
For me, it's like the voice equivalent of when a smile doesn't reach the eyes.

How we, as humans, can pick up on the nuances.

With speech, I can tell by the timbre. The subtleties of subconscious vocal inflections.

I have no idea if this is making sense but it's the best I can do to explain 😂

Apparently when I’m um, in the mood, my voice changes. But trying to artificially do it? I just sound like an idiot.

Not to deviate from the topic, but it reminded me of my offspring when she does her fake Southern accent.
I was born in DC, but was around my mother who was from South Carolina growing up.
Although I've been up here in the PNW for over 26 years now, there are certain words I say where the accent comes out.
However, when my offspring wants to taunt me, granted she was born in Va but moved up here at the age of two, hers sounds more saturated and more believablefor some because it's so fake.....I'm so jealous.

I think this is the case for most people.
There’s a certain weight? to the texture of one’s voice when you’re genuinely in the mood, something lower, richer, more intimate.

It’s difficult to imitate because it comes from a place you can’t quite force yourself into.
Which I think ties into things being more sincere when they happen without trying.

Okay, I'm not going to quote everyone, but this seems pretty representative.

I am so glad I've never heard.

Sounds like a serious case of the Icks. 🤢

True for women as well? 🤔

I ask, as outside my personal experience.

I have definitely noticed it with men.
I can't answer in a sexual context as I am straight.

But I certainly know women who will give a compliment and you just somehow know it is not genuine although the words are correct.
So based on that, possibly, it would be true for women as well?
