Emily’s NEW positivity and being nice to each other thread

You got that right, sometimes, being nice is really, really hard.
I know there were probably times here, that include myself as well.
My therapist and the people in town, have said that they've seen an improvement,
in my ability and willingness to be nicer to folk.
Definitely been a few times, where I couldn't hold back, but it was richly deserved. LOL.

I've been known to take a 2X4 or a collapsible baton up the side of folks' heads now and again. Oh, I actually typed that. Opps!!! 😱

I still got my 24" collapsible baton, from when I went through the Police Academy.

Remember, the head is "red zone". LOL.

Yeah, I had one when I worked as a PI and did fugitive recovery. I had big badass partners for that, but I cracked a few ribs in my day. I had one female partner but only worked a few fugitive recoveries together. The fact she was a black belt in something helped, but usually, we called for backup. Enough about shop talk, let's talk about how positively thrilling it is to kick someone's ass. I mean something else.

Part of the reason I do karate. Save it all up for a sparring session, then let it out in a controlled manner.

Positively cathartic.

@Devinter also seems to have gone missing. Coincidence?

Or maybe being such an all-round nice and supportive person finally become too much, and he's exploded. Does anyone feel brave enough to check the Politics forum to see whether he's there?

Nah, there's an easier way without stepping in that cesspool. Just search everywhere using someone's username, and all their activity pops up. Posted in the 750 word thread yesterday.

I assure you, I am nobody's secret 'Alt'. 😅

Just been extra busy with work. However, your guess isn't too far from the truth. Without saying and revealing too much, I got called in as an 'expert' and 'mediator' to settle a couple of disputes between different organizations, and I use that term with some reluctance. Grown men can argue over the most petty of things, I am saddened to say. Because of that, I have not come home until 2am for two days straight, and I have to work on Sunday as well. Blah. My April Fool's story likely won't be ready for March 1st at this rate either, though it's about 90% completed, and I should have no problem meeting the final deadline.

Glad to see your OK, sad to read about your workload.

After 25+ years in my job, I'm still surprised by how badly organised organisations usually are. And when they try to reorganise it gets even worse.
Many orgs and companies seem to survive in spite of themselves.

Good afternoon everyone.
Waking up is always a positive thing, so thankful for that.
The major parts of the storm system missed me, so I'm grateful for that.
Scared the pants off my Autism Angel though. LOL.
She came screaming into our bed at 3AM, after a thunderclap shook the entire house.
I hope that everyone has had a wonderful day so far.

This thread is suffering from a distinct lack of redheads and boobies.

Not a natural redhead, but still looks great as one. ;)

If that boat sinks, two of the girls will survive. The one on the left is missing the recommended flotation devices.
