Email Private Feedback?

I'm posting this thread because I'm curious about the number of private feedback messages you get through email. I see some of you posting about them, but not necessarily about the frequency.

I'm not sure if the number I receive is similar to yours or not. In 2025, I published 15 works, though three of those were 750 stories and I think I have less expectation of receiving private feedback on them. Also, 5 of my works were actually one longer story that I broke up into 5 chapters instead of one long read.

Of the emails I got via the private feedback function last year, only 3 of them were to comment on a story I'd written. Is this about what you receive? Do you notice receiving a higher percentage of feedback emails for particular categories?

I just checked my email and looked. I've had 5 email feedback messages.

I've published 16 stories since August of 2024.

Length of each story ranges from about 8k words to 40k words.

Mainly publishing in BDSM category.

Not sure how this compares to others. But that's my experience here.

I'm probably sitting at around 20 unique instances in the last nine months. T/I gets a lot of reads, I guess. Some are nice encouragement, others have led to emails back and forth. And others suck.

I did a search of my little inbox for Subjects "Literotica: Feedback for PennyThompson," it looks like I've gotten 36 feedback emails since I started writing in November 2024!

Most of them are quite nice, a few are rude, a few are creepy. A couple of them were... Very personal confessions/propositions that I did not reply to... But I've gotten far more of those via forum DMs

About half of them are shared along with the writer's email address, half are anonymous.

I've received a few. One to tell tell me how they went to a location I mentioned in my foxxubus story (which is always nice that your research isn't total bunk and you accurately portray a place). A couple short nice ones. And one very long one that was basically a commission, but they explicitly stated they wouldn't pay me for it

Very rare. Most private feedback received by email has been one-time only, about a specific story.

Some exchanges did become friendships, which came and went while they lasted.

Usually, the folks I get email comments from actually want to chat with me about the story. Either to suggest a continuation, criticize or tell me they had a similar experience. My last one though was in response to my latest LW story, and it was less than congratulatory.

I searched my email. 130 since I started in 2017. Most are very nice. A few felt like phishing. A few were please write a story like this. But most were sincere and civilized. Some I still trade banter back and forth with to this day.

I've received 5 messages direct from Literotica, but several of them ended up spanning multiple messages as we replied to each other. The first one got a bit weird after a bit and I quit responding, but all of them started out as legitimate feedback about a story.

I checked my email to see how many I've received over the years. There appear to be 174. Most are quite kind. A few (very small handful) were strange. I do believe I have responded to almost every single one.
