Does anyone work for a company that enforces a email policy ( no chain letters, no vulgar language, no porn etc) ????

Apparantly my company is in the process of Auditing the email content in our dept .........HOLY crap they'll enjoy reading mine......I haven't sent nude photos any thing like that...but the xrated email i sent my partner might be misconstrued as obscene by some.....

Have you or anyone you know been fired do to abusing email priveledges at work ????...

They never seemed to really enforce it in the past..... :((

Slightly Uneasy .......

If I were you, I'd worry about being fired for punctuation abuse.

Well not to scare you but the company I work for STRICKTLY enforces email. Not only do they monitor for vulgar or obscene content, they look for any personal emails as well. And yes people have been fired for it. But what we can use company email for is very well known, we are required to read and sign a company "code of conduct" policy once a year. If this is a new policy for your company, then you'll more than likely be fine all though you might have to sit through an embarrasing meeting with some rather stern higher ups.

Even if it isn't specifically stated, odds are there's a log of every email you've ever sent on the server.
