What do you do with all of them?

They pile up alarmingly, masses and masses of them if one posts at all regularly. They drift and mound and cover everything else in one's email box. Each one says, "There may be other replies also, but you will not receive any more notifications
until you visit the board again" but we know that's not true, don't we?

Do you look at each one individually, judging whether you want to be an active part of that thread anymore and then cutting and pasting the link into an open window, if so?

Do you ignore them and clean them all out of your inbox every couple of days?

Do you follow each link based on who posted to that thread?

What do you do with them all?

Email Notifications

I turned mine off....just remember to check your PM's occasionally.
MrB

1) Click on your Control Panel

2) Click on "Edit Options"

3) Under "Messaging & Notification", you'll see the option "Use 'Email Notification' by default?" Click "No", then click the "Submit Modifications" button at the bottom of the screen.

That should do it.

Wow. I beat Weird Harold to an answer...hopefully I gave the right one, lol... ;)

I turn mine off. The only time I opt for email notification is when I get involved in a thread on the Role Playing Board. I always check my mail before I go to any of the other sites I frequent, and I find it very convenient to click on the link to the thread instead of going to the board and searching for it. It's also a convenient way of finding out if anyone has responded to a new RP thread I've started. I always delete the notification afterwards.

Thanks very much, guys.

But I do have limited Net access.

Laurel forgot to tell you that will only stop NEW e-mails on new threads. You will continue to get the notifications from where you've already posted with e-mail notification turned on.

For threads where this is a problem, you have to go to every post you've made on that thread, edit you post, and clear the e-mail notification check box.

If you want to check on your posts, do a search on yourself for the last week. This is mucho handy for keeping track of your stuff alone. The search options on here are the best!
