What fresh Hell is this?

This thread will be about a small group of gods that lose their powers (and most likely their memories) and fight alongside humans to help bring peace to a war-torn world.
I will be playing at least two of the "fallen" immortals, along with various minor characters and one or two humans.
The story will take place on an Earth-like planet, but its history will not be the same as ours. Characters can certainly be based off mythological figures, but I expect some creativity in coming up with their background.
