Here is my thoughts:

Elves and humans are alike other that elves don't get sick or old in the same sense that humans do, thus elves appear to be immortal.

Now there are the gray elves and the dark elves. Good and Evil.

Among the humans there are females that are born with a great power. If that human female mates with an elf, that elf will consume that great power and rule the world on all planes. A lot of human females have a simular gene, but only one has the special gift. Elves enchanted with a certain spell can detect those human females, but only through entercourse can the power be revealed.

A hero gray elf and a queen dark elf with her son has gone to the earth's surface in search of the human female.

The dark elf queen uses dark magic, and the gray elf has enchanted sword and bow along with minor weapons and spells to fight against the dark queens magic.

blacksnake: D&D player, huh? :>

interesting premise. where do you see this going?

Anime Fan probably

Yeah there is definitly a DnD touch in there but the story line has been done. Its called Those Who Hunt Elves. Its an anime about a military unit who gets transported to a magic kingdom and the high elf priestess was about to send them back when something stupid happens and the spell ends up writtin on the bodies of 12 elfin maidens. Needless to say the heros have all sorts of adventures traveling through the country side to undress each and every elfin maiden so they can get the spell to get back home. Obviuosly not exactly the same but close enough for me. Still if you can write it well go for it.

I'm not kidding when I ask: what is D&D or DnD?

Not really, there have been a few games based on, so far the only ones that were close to the actual game came out when people still had Atari computers.

There is a new one coming out that is supposed to be very very close to regular game, online even. It's looking very good so far, OK, yes I do play video games. Don't look at me like that, there are more women playing every day. :p :catroar:

I'm looking for commonly accepted facts about elves

The following is from http://www.cs.washington.edu/homes/brad/pe/elves.html :

# Immune to man's diseases and plagues (1) (8).

* especially when young (1)
* not so much when old (1)

# Can't be killed with heated toxins (1)

* and generally immune to poisonings (3,4)

# Infection can eat them alive, however (8).

# Don't die of natural causes -- only violent death (2)

# Have immortal souls, though mortal bodies (8)

# Upon reaching the age of 12, they age one year for every 17 human years (9,10)

* prior to this it seems that the ratio must be closer to 1:1 (1)
* however, at the age of 13, Luse had lived 88 human years (5)

# They sing a catchy song:

Elves of the High
We shall Fight Until the End
For no foe can stand
the fury of the Fay
For fear is lost on us
of whom white fire flows in our veins
And no dark fate shall overcome
while we stand
because... (14)

as i mentioned elsewhere...

really, i think the only commonly accepted notions re: elves are that they are slender of build, have fine features and usually pointed ears. once you move beyond that, there are several influences to go on. the most influential such factor is tolkien, who made them like unto gods, so they were practically immortal, taller than humans, but in practically ever other sense, superior to humans.

ed

I disagree on that. To me Tolkien made them like human, except with a knowledge of magic and longer living. :catroar:

emap: assuming you're referring to my post...i stand by my previous comment: i think tolkien made the elves better than humans.

blacksnake: oo, one other thing: cold iron is supposed to be dangerous to elves, too.

ed

I was and I disagree with you, you silly old fogy. :p

I thought cold iron was a demon weakness. :catroar:

Hey, would you two object if I made no mention of cold iron? I looking for agreeable standards...

The gray elf and the Dark queen elf crossing over to the human earth plane in modern day. The could only bring one thing with them. The gray elf brings his enchanted bow, and the dark queen elf brings her staff. Both have the ability to do certain types of magic. Small spells and such. No flaming fireballs.

The Dark queen uses human lust to build her army to help her find the enchanted human female.

Sounds fun, and I believe I know how your going to have the queen raise an army, you men are so predictable. :p :catroar:

no objection here.

emap: traditionally, cold iron is the bane of fae, of which elves are most commonly considered a part. you need to go back to scandinavian myth and other european folklore for that bit. whether or not the fae are demons however is an interesting question... :>

ed

Oh, Ok, that's making a bit more sense. Now being a redhead I'm a bit familiar with fae, for the most part demon is a nice term for many of them. ;) :catroar:

It maybe obvious, but the dark queen's beauty attracts the men and she sleeps with them to forge their loyality to their deaths.

You know, it works better if she only teases them with sex, most of you guys lose interest in a woman if she fucks you right off. Something to do with short attention spans I think. :p

Seriously, I actually think it would be more fun if she did tease them and only gave them sex after they did something right. So in the recruiting she would say get naked, get him hard and then ride him for a minute or so then hop off, wouldn't need magic then, he would follow her around like a puppy. ;)

Sorry, but to me there is nothing more worthless than a tease. It's quickly giving me the idea that nothing is going to happen and I'm walking. The proof in the putting. She gonna have to put out quickly to be hot to me. Do it quickly and I will buy the dog collar for my neck. Show up and my dick gets hard, I not need a warm up. It's either I'm interested or I'm not. I hate games.

Well your something like the exception that makes the rule. :catroar:

Some guys like lap dances, I'll tip you when you get on stage. I go to strip joints when I know I can get sucked or fucked. Life is way to short not to be enjoying the real thing.

Yes but you have to pay them for that fuck or suck, well maybe not but most people apparently do. To me it's two different things, paying someone to have sex with you and finding someone who will have sex with you are two different things, one is a so what I got my sex piss off kinda thing, the other is well deeper and more meaningful.

Same idea as a running into a woman and fucking her first thing, or a guy, I've done that, the next morning unless he's in bed with me I won't know his name. Not many of them called me again later, or went beyond a hi if I happened to bump into them.

Maybe I'm just to jaded when it comes to men besides a certain special one. :catroar:
