We scoop up our new little friends and bring them with us to the warmth our our cabin, bringing both an end to a glorious day and the promise that tomorrow our magical garden will be filled with love.

What a beautiful place you two have created for yourselves, and the kitties are cute too. :)

Thank you sweetie, we love it and really enjoy the time we spend here. I hope you'll stop by now and then for a visit or just to say hi. Our friends are always welcome in our home.

Speaking of those kitties, I need to feed them.

Fetching a box of kitten chow from the kitchen, I pour some into their bowl, smiling as I hear them growling at one another.

Barn, care to sit and have a glass of wine with me or do you need to run?

Great!

Bringing two glasses of red wine from the kitchen as we sit on the patio to chat.

Sweetie, you know him. Its Michael, he's been with us since the beginning of the pool and yes, he treats me with great love and respect as I do him.

I'm so glad you found each other, I don't know him well but I know you are a wonderful friend and it's great to see you so happy. :)

Sorry to hear that sweetie. I wish I could help, but I was about to head up to bed and wait for Michael to come home. Night.

It's ok, I have insomnia so I'm used to it, you sleep well, sweetie.

I take my day’s last stroll through our garden, a mystical place where elegance is found in the simplest of things . . . the smell of lush earth freshly tilled . . . the first blush of amber on a single sycamore leaf, hinting the approach of fall . . . an ordinary pebble possessed of gemlike beauty.

I enter our cabin to find our furry young friends tumbling impishly around the floor, then one by one climbing the side of the bed and nestling together, delightfully tired after a day of exploring. Little do they know they have already been visited by the magic of our garden, for they shall be kittens forever, blessed with endless days of innocent and joyous discovery.

As I stand mesmerized by the sight of Elizabeth sleeping, I feel a glow from the fireplace embers and a wisp of smoke whispers to me, "hold her tight".

And so I shall.

Always.

As our four kittens and I stroll the garden, I spot the pebble I saw from the cabin window last night. Again I am drawn to it. I kneel, pick it up and and run my finger across it’s surface. Then I place it in my pocket. I know not why.

My furry little friends frolic, elated by each new discovery. I take the time to pick them up one by one and cuddle them. As I hold them, I sense each would rather be playing with their siblings, but they seem already to possess that mystical wisdom which brings them the patience to lavish me with their attentions, if only briefly.

I follow them back to the cabin as night falls. They know well the way home.

As I reach into my pocket for a match with which to light the fire, the pebble again finds its way into my hand. I place it on the fireplace mantle, and as the flames spring to life I realize . . . that if each and every day I were to do this, then through the eternity of our love I will have brought Elizabeth the entire world, one tiny pebble at a time.

Tomorrow I shall seek another.

Forever Isn't Long Enough

The tickin' of the clock, the beating of my heart
Pounding like a drum in the dark for you
If I could conquer time, I'd love you day and night
And make this moment last, baby all my life

Ask me how long I'll need you
Ask me how long I'll be there

Forever isn't long enough, to give you my love,
to give you my love
Till the end of time isn't time enough
For everything I wanna do
Forever isn't long enough, to give all my love, to you

I watch you as you sleep, I'm jealous of the night
I'd steal you from your dreams, just to buy more time
So much in my heart, so much in my soul
A lifetime ain't enough to ever let you know

Tell me this will be for always
Tell me you'll always be there

Forever isn't long enough, to give you my love,
to give you my love
Till the end of time isn't time enough
For everything I wanna do
Forever isn't long enough, to give all my love, to you

'Cause the time is passin' by, and the more it slips away
When I look into your eyes, I know...baby
It isn't long enough, to give you my love
Forever ain't enough to give it all to you
There isn't time enough to see it all through
Forever ain't enough to give my love to you

We each arrive back at our garden to find we’ve had a lovely visit from Rain. We feed the kittens and build a fire. We have been apart all day, although we’ve felt close each moment. Such is the power of love that springs from this garden. We sit close and watch the fire glow, without need of words.

Taking a nice walk through the garden to get the day started off right. :)

I walk up the stairs to the second floor of the cabin. In the bathroom I begin to run water as I add some bath oil to it and light a mulitude of candles.

As I do this I think of how wonderful it is to see my friends enjoying the garden as much as Michael and I do.

When the tub is full, the air is heavy with steam and the scent of vanilla, I step in sinking into the depths of the water laying my head back on the edge as I do to relax while awaiting the arrival of my love. Perhaps he will join me in the tub this evening or maybe just sit by and watch as we talk of the days events.

As I return to our cabin and open the door I am greeted by familiar scents. The smoldering oak from the fire, the friendly aromas from the kitchen . . . and . . . I detect the sweet fragrance of vanilla, a fragrance that I shall forever know belongs to Elizabeth.

I ascend the stairs to find her relaxing luxuriously in the tub, content and loved, as are all who visit this magic garden.
