I have been looking for some electrical play items... I have seen a toy used in many fetish movies... I guess its a cattle prod? the one i am looking for appears to have a black handle and the wand itself is red... looks alot like a pointed tongue.. does anyone have any idea where i can find something like that? I am not interested in the wired variety of electrical toys. thanks

Sounds like you want a violet wand. Unfortunately, as I'm epileptic, I've never been able to experiment with electro-play so I can't comment on how it feels or anything.

I was able to experience a violet wand thanks to Evil_Geoff at an ATL event! It was fun and kicky but not as scary as it looks sensation wise.

I've witnessed an electrical chair demo and some tens unit play. Both were interesting to me. My husband is very interested in electrical play.

Also I have a home tens unit myself it's far less powerful than the plug in kind. I've mostly used it for it's intended purpose, therapy but I really like it.

Don't run electricity across the heart (a electrode on one side of the chest and another on the other side) and be wary of how high your voltage and amps are. I've played with everything from dog collars (A lot of fun, they cause involuntary muscle reactions) to tasers and violet wands. Just be careful though, I have a accidental brand from a violet wand on my arm from where it burned through my flesh. Really electroplay as we use it in BDSM comes in two forms.

You have static electricity toys like violet wands in which a high charge is formed on the toy; these are high voltage low amp (relatively) toys. They're the impressive 'kazap' toys that dom/mes love to use to scare subs with. These toys are great though because of the flexibility. You can run electricity through anything conductive including yourself. It's possible to run a electrical current through yourself (you wont feel it, it's just like when you build up static electricity and shock people you touch) and use your own touch for the violet wand. Remember that for the wand to be effective you DON'T want to be touching them, just holding toy near the skin where there's little enough distance for ion bridges to form.

The other type are current toys, these tend to have electrodes you make contact to the body with in some way and run a current from one electrode to the other. These toys tennnnnnd to be low voltage and higher current but on most toys that's adjustable as is the frequency. A good example of this type is the TENS unit. They don't make those impressive snaps and cracks but they can have a much more pronounced effect. Instead of a sharp sting of ruptured cells, this runs electricity through your muscles and causes involuntary muscle contraction. This is the exact same type of current in which they use to start hearts... or for electrical chairs so be careful. While this one give you pinpoint burns like static toys you could conceivably do deep muscle burns. Unlike static electricity, in order for it to work it MUST have contact with the skin or through a conductive surface have contact. Just a side note, they build metal butt plugs and dildos for this that you can use for genital torture, causing muscle stimulation.

Both are great fun and have plenty of uses as well as possible dangers. Be safe, be sadistic, and have fun.
