Biden’s Electoral College Challenge

President Joe Biden won a decisive Electoral College victory in 2020 by restoring old Democratic advantages in the Rust Belt while establishing new beachheads in the Sun Belt. But this year, his position in polls has weakened on both fronts. The result is that, even this far from Election Day, signs are developing that Biden could face a last-mile problem in the Electoral College.

The only path to winning presidential elections for Republicans going forward is to abandon basically the east and west coast of America and concentrate on the disproportionate voting power of the flyover states Electoral Votes.

One Wyoming vote is worth 220,000 Californian votes in terms of the Electoral College, which is an outdated mechanism to preserve white voting power in slave states.

We really need to return to the popular vote in America for presidential elections. We have popular voting for every other elected position in America.

Not to mention the Republicans are not above gaming each state's slate of electors, as 2020 showed.

Is Florida a flyover state?

Nice, to have the lead paragraph and then the rest is behind the pay wall.

The article have other great humor and inspiration for you? Or just funny to you that Biden is down in the polls.

When it comes to voting for a President with clear values and one who who has none, it’s fitting you will be voting for the later.

Keep cheering him on… it suits you.

I don’t subscribe to The Atlantic. I clicked on a link from Realclear Politics. If you’re still having problems accessing it I’ll paste the whole article.

I don’t subscribe to The Atlantic.,
So… you base a whole thread off of a paragraph with no idea what is within. Seems just like your whole view. Who needs depth, it has a feeling that things are bad for Joe so good enough for you.

Try harder. Or just stop trying. Pick one.

This isn't a poll.

A link to The Atlantic article can be found at Realclear Politics on the left side of the page under “Election 2024.” The title is “Biden’s Electoral College Challenge.” If the link I shared in to OP doesn’t give you access to the entire article, try here:

I found the story on Realclear Politics. Clicked on the link and read to full article no problem. Sorry you’re having difficulty. Here’s the section that discusses Florida.

“Of the 25 states Trump won, North Carolina was the only one he carried by less than three percentage points; Florida was the only other state Trump won by less than four points.

“It’s not clear that Biden can truly threaten Trump in either state. Biden’s campaign, stressing criticism of Florida’s six-week abortion ban that went into effect today, has signaled some interest in contesting the state. But amid all the signs of Florida’s rightward drift in recent years, few operatives in either party believe the Biden campaign will undertake the enormous investment required to fully compete there.”

I’m not the one having difficulty. Just use the site link where you got the source to start with, instead of trying to look like you got it from somewhere else.

Again, the not so clear politics, sounds just like the rest of the wrong wing sites you and your ilk go to try to feel better about yourself.

And these “operatives?” Did they think the ballot initiative would be there to? Tells us about whether these folks actually have a clue.

Oh wait, this is just the version you got from your biased site- no idea if the full version is where you say it is. Got it.

I keep shaking my head at the lack of proper sourcing undercuts your argument, you seem to try so hard but can’t even close the deal with your own posts.

But, I have to remember this is all a joke to you anyway- our American Democracy is a joke to you. Good job.

Realclear has links to articles from many outlets. The Atlantic is one of them.
