Well it is nice to see electoral college numbers rather than popular vote which is not really of all that great importance. There is a considerable divide betweenn these two sets of numbers though. Are we to believe the Post because it is the Post?

Also: I got "webpage could not be found" for the first link. :(

Personally, everything I've read/observed indicates an upsurge for Romney since the first presidential debate...

...these 2 updated Electoral College projections seem to bear that out; in fact, the line graph in the first source distinctly evidences the downturn for Obama and the upswing for Romney, and the site's article even raises the possibility of an Electoral College vote tie:

fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytimes.com (10/14/12):

Projected Electoral College votes:

Obama = 285.6

Romney = 252.4

Projected Popular vote:

Obama = 50%

Romney = 49%

Projected Chance of winning
:

Obama = 63.3%

Romney = 36.7%

electionprojection.com (10/13/12):

Projected Electoral College votes:

Obama = 294

Romney = 244

Projected Popular vote:

Obama = 49.2%

Romney = 49.2%

BTW:

Both Rasmussen and Gallup are currently showing Romney with the identical lead of 49%-47% among likely voters...

realclearpolitics.com is showing Romney now with the Electoral lead:

Romney = 206 (76 solid, 91 likely, 39 leaning)

Obama = 201 (142 solid, 28 likely, 31 leaning)

Tossups = 131

Gallup has published "Election 2012 Likely Voters Trial Heat: Obama vs. Romney":

Romney = 52%

Obama = 45%

Also:

Susquehanna Polling and Research is showing Romney leading Obama in Pennsylvania, 49%-45%.
