I'm buying a cow.

And maybe a goat.

If only they'd had the foresight to make the farm bill run in perpetuity.

Luckily kids are raised on soda pop these days instead of milk. :D

Over 70% of the Farm Bill is food stamps. Very little of it has anything to do with farming.

Plus 29% just give funds to corporate farms, leaving mom and pop farms stuck. Monsanto and Dow benefit the most.

Obama ONLY gives subsidies to BLACK cows not white cows

DIVERSHITTY:)

Glad I can cook so I don't need to live off of cereal and ham and cheese sandwiches. Although that is insane these parts 4 bucks is a lot for milk.

If I'm not mistaken there is a movement for the FDA to be in charge of the strict authorization/prohibition of all food consumed by people that I read about. Grow your garden as fast as you can....people want to make raw veggies, milk, wild game and farmers markets illegal, fear not...its' for you own good. ;)

Sadly I have heard about that too. That and all sorts of other crazy ideas from insane taxes on "unhealthy" foods to limiting how much of what we can buy. I've been following stories like that for a while and it is a frightening thought. After seeing the bullshit in New York with drink sizes I wouldn't bee too shocked to see this happen.
