Ladies .....If you came off the pill, did you notice any difference in your libido / sex drive ? .

Gentlemen , if your significant other has come off the pill did you notice any change in her ?.

Thanks for looking .

My wife is on a range of medications and they all affect her libido. She’s taken the pill in the past and it had less of an effect on her sex drive than most of her other meds. She was using the Depo injection for a while but when she began using another medication she had to stop using it as they had known interactions. The Depo suppressed her libido with a huge effect and although she’d had breaks her libido only bounced back somewhere close to normal. However when she began the medication that stopped the Depo altogether her sex drive went through the roof.

At thirty when this happened she wanted it very night and although the spirit was willing the flesh was spongy and bruised (to quote Zap Brannigan). That’s when we enlisted her ex to help out.

Medication is a double edged sword. Most of the the time it ruins sex life but every now and then, watch out!

Thank you for your very interesting and detailed reply . There is a lot of conflicting opinions on the web, re the pill . My Wife only stopped taking the pill recently so early days yet . I will have to wait and see what happens :) .
Regards , Peter .

When my wife came of it I didn't notice any difference. But then again she was always a horny woman.

That's different! I wish I could read the transcript of his enlistment.

Where do I start? I'm two totally different people on and off the pill.

On birth control I'm apathetic, uninterested and generally undriven to do anything but sleep and binge watch shows. I generally have zero libido. I am uncreative. Almost foggy headed which is hard for someone who writes.

Off birth control I am none of these things. I'm a lot more outgoing (though still mostly an introvert), I'm interested, more active (went back to the gym two days after coming off and MAN I FEEL BETTER), and inspiration to write had come back big time.

Genuinely wish there was a way for me to be the way I am off birth control, while still on birth control. I've been on the pill and on NuvaRing. Both times I just did not like who I was.

Thank you for sharing .

Its been a while now since I came off the pill . I have to say that I am much more even tempered , have a more positive attitude to life and I am more tolerant . I haven't noticed any change in my libido .
. I think if the right Guy came along it would rekindle my interests and we could get back into our Wife sharing days with a special friend :) .

If your S.O. is coming off the pill and is one of those people who are sensitive to meds of any kind--, I'm sorry than you have to go thru what you are in and whatever she may yet in store for you.
Remember--,
"bourbon is cheaper than bullets...
and being slapped by your woman is better than a shiv in the shower."
