A knight is not nobility.rcfstl said:I thought he was the son of a minor knight?
All I know is that he did not wear a kilt and sure as shit did not paint his face blue.

He was one of the younger sons (if memory serves correctly), and actually turned to highway robbery at a fairly young age to support himself and his habits. When the kind of England decided that prima nochte was a good idea he saw an opportunity to get a band of brigands together and go looting under the guise of protest against the practice. The idea caught on and he ended up becoming the leader of a makeshift army that beat the hell out of the English for a while.
No, he was born in Ayrshire, though he had both Norman and Celtic blood.rcfstl said:Pretty much what I figured. And this may seem bad but were any of the nobles is Scotland actually Scottish. Robert the Bruce was Norman French wasnt he?

Most nobility was a mixture of Norman and Celtic, if i remember right.
