Educator Roll Call

Got my B.S. in Physical Education/Health Education, but chose to go down another path. I do miss coaching and from time to time wonder what it would have been like if I pursued a job in education.
 
Great thread, it would be nice to connect with other instructors. Government and Law teacher in Oregon, 14 years. Only 6 more Mondays left for us.
 
I was talking with a coworker last week, I had taught her son when he was in 9th grade about 10 years ago. He had recently commented to her that he was about to do something, when he remembered some advice I had given him in class and changed his mind. It was one of those nice reminders that sometimes we may not see the fruit of our labors, but that doesn't mean it's not there.

Hang in there everyone, remember why you became a teacher in the first place. It's not about us, it may involve dealing with politics, it may not seem worth it at times, but we do make a difference.
 
I teach adults in a corporate setting but they act like children. Does that count?
 
Graduating from my MAT program in just a few weeks--my master's thesis paper was 55 pages! :eek: still have to present in class and make minor corrections on the paper!

Well said Safety! Couldn't agree more. 3 times this semester asked to be a reference on students work applications. Very appreciative. 5 weeks of classes left and 1 week of exams!

Long time psychology professor in the middle of final exams. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Bad weather today resulted in the administration coming around and saying, leave as soon as the bell rings...nice to get out early for a change...
 
Teacher here, been a teacher for seventeen years. Mostly elementary school, but last two years, been teaching technology to teachers and students.
