Educator Roll Call

I’d just like to thank all of the teachers..

I was just ordering stuff to make baskets for my children’s teachers...

So thank you all, this year has been far from easy for any of you. You are appreciated... it’s my hope that everyone remembers just how hard you all work when it’s time to vote for raises...

Also any advice on gifts would be appreciated. I currently have 90 minute massages, and Starbucks gift cards. One teacher asked for something specific and I ordered it. Still I feel like I need more..

I’ll be honest, you are going over and above. Your kind words alone are super appreciated.

My goodness, that sounds great! Maybe a gift certificate to a local business or coffee place? But like people have sad, your words really are enough!

If only...

You’re sweet to say that. I wish there was a local coffee shop, or bakery for that matter nearby.. Unfortunately we’re on the island of Starbucks... the massage packages are from a local company...

However a friend owns a restaurant and they are baking all our pies this year. So I’ll order them pie too..

It Seems

Recently retired 35 year HS English teacher... this thread implies we educators fly a proud but possibly frustrated freak flag... Bless you all for what you do and let’s get everyone back in the classroom where we can do our best work ASAP, please...

Wow...You're wonderful for doing all that for the teachers. Most are overworked, underpaid, and definitely under appreciated. Its great to have parents like you willing to show your gratitude! We need more parents like you!

You are amazing to work with a challenging group. I know I enjoy saying hello to my friends from the EH class in the hallway.
Thank you for your hard work and enjoy the Holidays!

Professor in the humanities - missing the days of being able to ogle the young coeds on campus!

The whole atmosphere has changed though over the years, maybe it is just me getting older, but I find the sexual tension of teaching and interacting with colleagues to be ... more subdued
