I was wandering through the stories the other day here on Lit and ran across one that I felt really helped me understand the mindset of someone I love. It presented a submissive point of view that was very well written and quite clever, and I felt like a got a nice peek into someone else's wiring.
So here's the question: are there stories here on Lit that you could present to someone as a way of introducing or explaining yourself? Perhaps there are one or two pieces, either your own work or someone else's, that you could hand to someone and say, 'If you read this one, you'll understand where my head is, how I'm wired, what I want.'
Perhaps we can dig up some recognition for a few under-appreciated authors while we're at it.
