Editted Categories...

We've needed "Reluctance" for a long time and I'm glad to see it. It should really be a separate category though, because awkward though the word is, it makes an important distinction between sexual seduction and just plain rape.

I work in the former a lot. I have no interest whatsoever in the latter.

Dear Dr M,
I'll bet you would change your mind if it happened to you. Theoretically, of course.

Did anyone else notice this morning that two big categories have been editted slightly...?

Incest is now Incest/Taboo

Nonconsent is now Nonconsent/Reluctance

That should make life more interesting....

**i apologize if the urls aren't right....lol**

I think those are good changes because sometimes sex between relatives is not technically incest but it is taboo such as step siblings, and a person could be blackmailed into consenting to sex but still be reluctant.

I also think that "Loving Wife" should be changed to "Loving Spouse", because otherwise, it seems somewhat sexist. I also think that "BDSM" should be separated into "Bondage" and "S & M", because they are not really that similar.

Some persons have been equating sexual seduction to reluctance but I don't see them as the same. Reluctance could be sexual harassment at work: "Eat my pussy or you are fired." "You can have the job but first you have to suck me off." extortion: "I can prove you embezzled, and I will unless we fuck as much as I want." "I know you are undocumented and I will turn you in unless you do what I want." or other leverage employed by persons such as that described by Crimson Maiden. Seduction is the persuasion of an otherwise reluctant person through flattery, arousal or other ethical means, and would not actually be non-consent.

In the past, I have written non-consent stories that were actually role-playing, with everybody enjoying themselves since this is the way I prefer to write. I think I will write one about "reluctance", maybe somebody will blackmail my narrator into doing something he doesn't want to do.:(

First off thank you Boxlicker(omg...that cracks me up) for your feedback on my story.

My one story in non consent was role playing because I could never buy into the woman actually getting turned on being raped. I love the reluctance idea, and it gives me tons of ideas. :D

Please forgive this aging Boomer, Boxlicker, I know you mean well, but I feel a little like Captain Renault in Casablanca, I'm shocked, shocked at the idea there are Literotica categories that are sexist.

Me too Rumple mate, shocked to the core:D Another thing though, this is the last place we need bloody PC creeping into:(

That was good, Rumps. I wouldn't mind coming up against an aging Capt. Renault (as played by Mr. Rains).

Then can someone tell me where S/stories L/like T/these (you know "i love my Master, i'll do anything for Him blah blah blah") that involves niether cuffs and ropes nor giving and taking of pain should go? Would that be filed as 'mental bondage'?

Religious Stories, perhaps?

S/stories L/like T/these

The most likely deserve their own category. Either Dominant/submissive or Master/slave. But those caps no caps are the hallmark of those two groups. They fit into BDSM and then again don't fit into BDSM.

Well, it's sort of a Venn diagram, isn't it?

I mean, you have the great big box for Relationships, and it contains smaller boxes that overlap labelled Sexual and NonSexual, and within those are great circles encompassing all the myriad subcultures and/or fetishes that we know, enjoy, or abhor.

And three of these are D/S, B/D, and S/M...which form a little trinity-like flower, not unlike the one you might see on a colour chart for showing how the primary colours form their secondaries as well as combining for white.

Always an interesting thought... and nice imagary.

Another question....

Has the number of reads before a story is approved been changed to 4? or is that only in specific categories?

lost and confused,

:( I don't think thre is any set number. To me, four would be low. Nine or more is the usuaL. I don't know why such a large number.
