I just wanted to say I have two of the best in "Techsan" and "LadyCibelle". Just wanted everyone to know. First time ever posting a thread here. Don't quite know what it is. I'm sure my quality editors will let me know.

I'm sure they are amazing... :D Honestly, I've tried my hand at editing a few times now, and I TOTALLY admire what you editors do who take it on... for free, might add...

*bowing down to you all*

AND

I want to plug my favorite editor, RogueLurker... she is thorough, insightful, technically flawless, and she pushes me in all the right places. She is constructive without tearing down, she's brilliant and "gets" me, and always points out when I violate the laws of physics... oh I could go on and on... but I'll stop before she tells me I'm just sucking up <grin>

but remember, I found her first, damnit! :p lol

You might not know but I was all ready to start bitiching about how ungrateful some writers are when we work for them and you both just put a smile on my face and made me forget what I wanted to say. :)

That's funny how life is huh? You start with something on your mind and you end with the exact opposite and forget why you were so angry in the first place. That'll teach me that blessings come when you expect them the least.

Thank you both  , from me and from all the editors who think at one point or another that their work is overlooked or taken for granted.

You've put a smile on my face for the evening. :rose:

As I've said before, SelenaKittyn, flattery will get you just about anything ...

Send your next story.

yeah, you're sucking up ... but don't stop on my account ...

I've a favorite as well, good-natured, patient, professional, great sense of humour.. to her go my genuine thanks and appreciation. But kudos to all who volunteer their time and effort pulling us helpless amateurs out of our muck and mire! You can never be credited enough, imo

Thanks, DG....I like to think that I don't really need the "boost" like this. Recognition that the author's stories are well-written and entertaining are enough. But then it never hurts to hear that we are appreciated either. Who says that the author-editor relationship has to be adversarial, Friend?

Great editing!

I had just been writing since aug of 2005. My ideas were good, I'll admit that, but getting it across to the readers is hard work. 'Techsan' wrote to me and offered some advice. He then took all my stories and re-edited them for me. I very rarely get bad comments on editing when that was all I used to get. I then thought it would be nice to have a woman opinion on my stories. I asked LadyCibelle and she said she would be honored to help. With these two in my corner I write almost like someone who knows what he is doing. I will always be honored to call them both 'friends' not just editors..

Awwww and you wonder why we both love to edit for you so much huh? It's so easy and fun to edit for you and get to see you grow as a writer. Knowing that your stories are appreciated and loved by the readers and thanks and acknowlegment enough.
